I just had two days training in a GT4 Clubsport at Spa. Absolutely the most fun sitting down I have ever had. I enjoyed it so much that I am now on the hunt for one. Will keep my RS and still use it for those track days where race cars are not allowed but the GT4 CS will be my “go to” choice. As everybody has said, they are incredibly easy to drive. Indeed, easier than the RS.

Looks like a lot of fun! Have you driven the 991 Cup Car also?
Ist the upcoming GT4 RS not a "alternative for both worlds"? I know - it will not be a race car.
But you can drive it
from and to the racetrack ...

At this point I have no raging desire to step up to a Cup car. Happy with the GT4 CS for awhile as a nice step on from the 3RS.

I can drive my 3RS to the race track and it will remain faster and better on track than a GT4 RS. Of that I am sure.

What are you looking for? 718 GT4 CS or 981 GT4 CS?

718 CS. It’s a better package than the 981 variant.

You guys are killing me with the clubsport. I've been looking for a used one pretty hard....and they are proving to be pretty hard to find. Through Porsche a new Trackday variant is almost 200k once you throw in the spare parts with all the fees and taxes here in Georgia :(

Good luck. I was looking for a 981 before I decided to go with the 718 from PMNA, but I'm pretty sure I got the second-to-last Competition variant headed for NA. Some Trackday versions still available. Isringhausen has a used 718 Competition.

Ya I know. I've been a day late on several at this point, but when you look at roughly 125k for the 981 vs 205k delivered for 718 Trackday.........80k buys a lot of track days and PCA Races.

I totally get it - I went through the same process.

There is one problem with Cayman GT4 clubsport
Once you try 911 cup and learn how to drive it relatively fast, you just don’t want to jump back to the Cayman.
911 cup is a totally different level - it is a real racing car!

Yup 911 cup is way faster.......and what 5x or more to run than the clubsport.

This. Not just the added costs to run but the hassle. I can (mostly) run my own support for the Clubsport. No way I could do that with the Cup.

If anyone happens to know of any 2016's for sale I'd appreciate a PM. I'm shelving my plan for a Radical...because I've never worked so hard to spend money with a dealer for a car in my life.

PM sent about a 981 I took a hard look at. Would have bought it if I hadn’t switched to the 718.
