Thank you guys for the great compliments !!!

Your outstanding reputation is to be commended. I have not had the privilege yet to own a Porsche.

With me not currently owning a Porsche or having a relationship with an existing Porsche dealer, is it even realistic that I could get an upcoming allocation for a new GT3?

If I purchase a used GT3/RS, from the dealer prior to the release of the 992 GT3, does that help?

I am not interested in non GT cars. If the realistic answer is to source from the pre-owned market that is ok. Just trying to understand what is possible. Your recommendations from others suggest you are a straight shooter.

Thanks

Sean

Personally I'd walk before I purchased another car from Hennessey. Perimeter, also in the Atlanta area was great to deal with. Tyler Heinzelmann made my GT3 purchase painless. Well worth the drive from Cincinnati.

Although 2k+ miles away, they were able to get me the GT car I wanted and handled tasks in a timely manner.

This is something my local dealer, Porsche Chandler, could not do as they were busy playing allocation games after myself doing $240k in business with Porsche Chandler in their first 6 months of being open.
Then they stiffed me altogether after numerous visits, emails, and phone calls. I had bought a GT4 from them with the explicit condition I would be on the GT3 list. Porsche Chandler then decided to refuse to live up to that verbal agreement
so I would not recommend them
My sentiments exactly. Porsche Chandler is a joke now. They've gone way down hill since they opened. ADM's and games as well as not honoring their word.

IMO, because someone has a bad experience with a specific dealership doesn't mean you'll have the same with them, and vice versa. It's rare that a dealership is is generally bad for every customer.

OP, I'm sure you feel let down by your old dealer with who you've no doubt invested a good deal of time and money, good luck in your quest.

Is that POTML?

Great to see the positive experiences and comments re dealers. I’ll add my local dealer (Porsche of Colorado Springs) to that list.

Champion Porsche (cough, cough)

Ferrari does not allow any in their dealer network this bad behaviour, why is it so prevalent in Porsche's dealer network?

Now working with Malachy Tracey at Porsche Fairfield and I have been thus far very impressed by his honesty and sincerity. Great to hear the GM is a true enthusiast as well and promotes a positive culture at the dealership. I've seen other dealerships run like a shark tank and SA's can't do much about it. So, +1 on accolades for Porsche Fairfield. Hoping anyone local enough can support dealerships like this so they get more and more allocations for the rarer cars and ultimately in the hands of enthusiasts as opposed to flippers.
this thread is very timely! Have been looking for a straight up P-car dealer in NY/NJ/CT as well. Manhattan is asking $75k ADM for the 992 allocation and can’t be bothered to return any phone calls or emails (although their service department is excellent).

Porsche of Southampton near me is too small. Sounds like P of Fairfield is the way to go.

For a number of reasons I don’t want to continue buying cars from them anymore, but I don’t want to leave the brand. So I am looking for a new home. Good service, responsive dealer who appreciate loyal customer that buys several cars every year. Dealers with ADMs please don’t bother.

Can you let me know what happened? I purchased a Performante from them earlier this year and although just like most dealers they lowballed me on my trade (at first) they were pretty good to work with!

On west coast Porsche of Fresno and CJ Wilson can't be beat.

I have two seamless transactions and will take delivery of my third car(992GT3) this fall.

He's an enthusiast, he's straight forward, and he's very fair on trades.

I’m sure they are all going to the highest bidder and it will take a year or so before it corrects.
Ive no relation with any dealer either, so we’ll see in 2022 as the dealers go down the list, but it could also be that the current Porsche is the last Porsche.
