I totally get the "spend less time on spreadsheets and more time driving" crowd, but I also agree with OP, it's fun, plus educational. The "system" if you will is rigged against buyers and very much in favor of dealers. Non-dealers don't get to see auction results, and dont get to see actual sales prices. When you are looking to buy a house (at least on the West Coast and many other parts of the country), you can easily go look up all the neighborhood comps. With an RS, not so much.

I almost bought this blue one from Porsche Minneapolis back in September, and see its still on the market as of today. Keeping an eye on it just out of curiosity just to see how long it actually takes to sell and how low the price goes (maybe I should be driving more)

Based on the data I collected, the mileage (11k+) and standard seats are working against it. I predict a sale price somewhere $154-$158k

I get it.

I just bought a 2020 R8 V10 performance. Great cars. Have fun with the search!

Just an educated guess, but I believe the total # of available .1RS is somewhere between 150-200 at the moment. That's quite a bit compared to 997/etc, although there were upwards of 5000 991.1 GT3RS's made!
i’m thinking I’ll end up getting one one day to try but I had to pick up the 997 rs based on this comment alone, I think the 991 RS will always be attainable

fantastic analysis I’m not a mathematics nerd but I dig this stuff

to much cars produced of 991.1RS/991.2RS ~ 12.000 units ww.

997.1RS/997.2RS ~ 3.000 units ww

and 997 end of era; where 992RS will be same as 991RS only „better“.

So did I. They will take $155k if interested.

Actually it is more like ~9000 units produced WW based on what has been shared here many times (below). But, I suppose your point remains the same as this still 3x production vs the 997 RS.

2019 GT3RS - 4,750
2016 GT3RS - 4,500

Did they disclose to you that the original engine blew up? And I assume OP realizes that there is no 10 year engine warranty for the RS?

Another reason I pivoted to the 997 and have been very happy with the decision, although a lot more interesting activity here on the 991 forum!

Less than 1300-1400 .1RS for the US, hard to believe there are 200 actively for sale right now. And the number for total production is off too.

Interesting data but whoa... just make a choice and enjoy. More driving less analysis.

More 991.1 RS than 4.750 for sure! ;-)

It's actually too bad they didn't produce more initially. I would have purchased one new at that point had there been no mark up.

Based on what source? I tend to believe the analysis done by folks on here via looking at VINs but if you have other credible sources interested in hearing more.

I'm glad I didn't buy last year at over MSRP in the late Spring.
