Guys, so much jibber jabber about the fact that they made so many 991 gt2rs’s that this will impact long term value and that the RS cars are a poor investment. TAKE A LOOK AT THIS AUCTION; https://bringatrailer.com/listing/19...carrera-rs-12/

this is is a perfect example of a vehicle with very similar numbers of production and it is going to fetch well over $500k.
So, to those of you who didn’t get an allocation, or are running your mouths about Porsche overproduction, please stop. It’s getting old. Drive your cars, whatever they may be, enjoy them and keep them for 30-40 years and it will be a stellar investment in your happiness.

Generally agree with the sentiment, but I recall genuine RS 2.7s selling for $1 million not that long ago. This one might still get there but it's only half way.

$500,000, 1 million, $350k. Any way we look at it, it’s a vehicle that had similar production numbers and they only show up for sale once in a great while. In 30 years, I suspect the same for the RS cars of today. Especially the GT2rs. I am just trying to silence the critics. It is overwhelming on this site. There is no pride in the ownership of these cars. Truly sad. We are all blessed to love or love and drive these cars. Embrace it and support the decision you have made. They are pieces of metal art that should put a smile on your face.

All we have to do is spend $350k now hide it in a barn for 50-60 years then maybe our grand kids can sell them and make a profit. God forbid you drive them and put some miles on the clock...there goes the investment.

No one can predict anything buy them if you can, drive the snot out of them cause you only live once...leave them for the next generations to restore and enjoy.

They are cars not investments...

Don't read too much into what the 'critics' on RL say. It's the internet. Go meet some real people, they have better things to talk about.

They are a POOR INVESTMENT.. Yay another value thread.

Buy a car to drive.

If you want a car to invest in (and it would outperform a good investment i.e. art, stocks, stamps, bonds, PE etc) - i would suggest its not any Porsche made within the last 5 years. I bought AAPL at $65 not so long ago and its at $240 today. No 991 GT car is going to quadruple in the next 10-20 years. But you cant drive Apple stock

If you think 991.2 RS cars are going to be great investments like that 1973 RS then I’ll sell you mine for MSRP +$20K.

Your upside will be a few hundred thousand!

I'm a gt2rs owner and I don't buy into this... If ur into it as an investment, run away, these are production cars and u ain't comparing apples to apples. I expect to lose money on this car and everytime I have a blissful moment it costs a little and that I don't mind one bit.

Drive these cars... Especially the GTs.

Which way are you looking at it? There were ~1,500 1973 RSs built for the world, with none sold in the US.

There were over 1,300 991 GT2RSs sold in the US alone.
