Default 991.2 GT3 Whirring Sound on Shutdown

I've got a 2019 GT3 that I bought new 2 months ago, absolutely loving the car. No issues with it so far as I'm getting through the break-in. Have noticed one odd thing, and while I'm sure its normal, I have no idea what it is.

When the car is turned off I noticed for the next 10 seconds or so an electric motor/actuator sound from the rear of the car. It almost sounds like the spoiler retracting/extending on my 996. It happens on every shutdown, like a gate or valve is opening or closing.

Anyone know what this is?

Thanks

Could be an issue with the parking brake and sensor.

Yea, I gathered it was normal, but does anyone know what it is?

Is it always right after using the front axle lift?

Not at all related to front axle lift. Its a sequence that occurs as soon at the engine is turned off. A series of clicks and electric motor whirs that happen in the same sequence every shut down.

If you sit in the car long enough, you'll hear the Sport Chrono wind itself back up, might be related to that?

I know what you mean about the sport chrono. This is different. Comes from the rear of the car immediately upon shutdown.

Auxiliary fans in the back.

My 2018 GT3 does same thing. Sometimes it sounds like the cooling fans in back. As an engineer it actually sounds normal to me. Car runs like a top.

Fans will run occasionally for a few seconds or even a min or two.

The FAL compressor will kick on after 3-4 uses when it's engaged but that's a buzzing up front. I was told by a service writer at the dealer to wait until it stops before turning the car off so the tank isn't half full and need to run twice. I use it almost every time I'm pulling up to a concrete parking stop and wait for it to top off before I shut the car off.

There are some loud clicks occasionally with the electric parking brake drivers side rear occasionally also. Even after the car is shut off.

I bet you're hearing the fans.

Well, I'm basing it on your description of it, so, no, I can't say for certain. But, I'm confident that's what you're hearing.
