GT3 vs ZR1 - More observations...

Shot's Fired!! LOL
Well the guy I raced was in an Auto, Launched well (assume some level of launch control) but an Auto is "Easy" anyway, and went all out. See new / better vid. You can hear the shifts and not letting off until way past the line.
Anyway. Not sure if that was a shot at me but who cares. Never acted like "my skills" had anything to do with it. smh.

Launching these cars without shredding the rear tires is a challenge, even in the auto. In the 997 Turbo i drove you just use launch control and hold on. You need a lot more throttle control with the ZR1 through second gear. It makes it fun but challenging. Because of this my money would be on the stock Turbo in a drag race every time vs a stock ZR1.
Without my tune, it would have been difficult to beat his pass. Best I did when stock was 10.96 @ 124.1 in same weather / same track.

It sounds like he did pretty well but my money would always be on the Turbo, unless it was against a Tesla lol. Or a 720S. On a race track the ZR1 has the advantage with equal drivers. Drags a different story. Your car is quick!

Wow. Here I am in my completely OEM stock car that can easily run mid 11 seconds all day long, thinking I'm (well, my car actually) is a badass. Then you guys are talking about being in the 10s like it's nothing. I'm going to go cry.

That's effin' amazing!
But I'm always curious what people define as "bolt on." I've got a friend with one of those Nissan GT-R things. It has run a best quarter of 8:12. He "bolted on" two bigger turbos. He "bolted on" lots of internal engine mods. He "bolted on" stronger axles. Outside of electronic work / tune, technically people can call almost anything "bolt on," right?

That's my opinion too, based on the way most people seem to use the phrase. But technically, if their mods do in fact use bolts as the method of installation, then they're safe to use that phrase and get away with it. That's why I'm always curious to hear what has actually been done when someone says it. I'm a bit OCD about language usage, so vague, ambiguous terminology always makes me skeptical, even if I don't really car about the topic material. It makes my brain go, "Wait, do you mean THIS or do you mean THAT?"
