That rear wing is just a common tool at PAG for the development team to test different mounting angles, heights and blade geometries. Don't make too much of it.
This is not some cleaning lady speak but first hand, hands-on-this-car experience inside the Weissach gates.
Looks like they got their inspiration for that chunky/ugly black wing here. Heck, it looks like they may have used some parts off a couple of these and sprayed them black.
If it’ll have the senna style uprights it’ll look good. But then that would imply it’ll pop up when braking hard no? What would be the purpose of that style if not for active functions?

Oh, your right. So they can do it. What about for GT cars ala air brake like Mac and FGT? They need to step up their game. New C8 Z06 is going to have active aero for 1/2 or less the price.

What is the importance of having active aero on a Porsche GT car? McLaren does it on their cars to they create low drag top speed runs with the 720S, 650S, 12C spec cars. The active aero on those cars mainly benefits the cars while under braking but doesn't help them as much when in the corners. The current Porsche GT wings aid the car at all times except with top speed runs.
