Default Hello! (And lithium battery experiences)

I bought my first Porsche (a 2017 crayon/chalk 991.2 GT3, PDK, PCCB, 918 buckets, no cage) two months ago, and am absolutely smitten. What a machine. The Rennlist community was an invaluable source of information leading up to my purchase – thank you all – and I'm now in the process of making a few tweaks to the car. I've swapped out the side mufflers for JCR's titanium valved side silencer bypasses (highly recommended!) and so far have stock headers and centre silencer as I will be tracking the car occasionally in the UK. Oh, and I bought the registration 911 FOU ('fou' is French for mad or crazy...)

After losing nearly 40lbs from the rear, I'm now looking at Antigravity's H6/Group-48 battery as a way of shedding a similar amount from the front of the car, but am interested in people's real-life experiences with similar batteries. I travel a lot professionally so the car will often go a week or two without being started, and is currently kept outside without the facility for a conditioner/charger. Will it work, or am I setting myself up for a lifetime of frustration?!

Have the Antigravity RS-30, and was able to preserve sufficient charge (with the battery power supply to the car switched off) for 6 months. Started up first time within the normal amount of cranks. Have had it for 9 months and 3000miles (both road and track) - no problems.

I fitted an Antigravity RS-40Ah to my 458 a month ago as the standard Ferrari Odessey was not coping with the parasitic draw if the car had been static for 10 days or so..No problems now with the new battery and it cranks better..When i get my new GT3.RS WP in October i intend to fit another Anti-gravity RS 40 in it straight after delivery..I also had a JCR center bypass on my 991.2GT3 and it transformed the character of the car..JCR Titanium exhaust and Anti-gravity battery two best mods for the GT3/RS imo.
The UK distibutor for Anti-gravity batteries are very helpful and friendly to deal with and i'm confident that should any issues arise they'd promptly sort it out.

no codes thrown? that is the deal breaker for me - I would like an anti-gravity but can't stand codes and warning lights or messages

I've had the RS-30 installed on my .1 RS and transferred it to my .2 RS. It has been flawless, no issues at all.

Thank you. So, it is just plug and play?

Have had the Anti-Gravity in my 991.2 since almost new and it works great. Car sits on the charger that comes with batteries for weeks on end and over the winter, with no issues.

Stoked to see the good reviews!... thanks to any/all who purchased our stuff.

Now to answer your question about plug and play...

You will not see flags probably 95% of the time....but here are some details.

1- In most all circumstances we have come across you can do the swap without any issues or flags.

2- It is indeed possible to have a flag with a battery change out regardless of Lithium or Lead/Acid. This is because upon removing the battery from the Car the voltage drops to Zero from the Cars perspective. So upon putting a new battery in the Car. SOMETIMES (rarely) the car throws a REAR STEERING Flag, or Power Steering Flag.... this is because both of these flags are dependent on seeing sufficient voltage from the Battery.... but when you disconnect your original battery the Car thinks there is no battery so you will sometimes get a flag on the first START after a battery change-out. But once you start the Car and see the flag it goes away on the next cycle of the key, meaning to fix the flag you start the car let it run a few minutes so it can see it has good battery voltage again.... turn off the car take key out and start again and its back to normal. But keep in mind I have changed the battery out in my RS at least 70 times.... yes no baloney... I test batteries a lot in the car... and have only had a flag twice on two change outs..

3- As I said I have had flags in the GT3 RS twice... I actually have only one reason that I don't even know if it is the reason why... which is I had the A/C on in the car on one of the change outs and didn't pay attention to it. Anyway the point is I don't even know why I got those two flags... no rhyme or reason since I have changed the battery out or disconnected them so many times.

I installed the Antigravity 40 Ah into my GT3T two weeks ago. I got an engine fault the first week or so after I installed the battery but the car ran just fine. I do have both an upgraded stereo and a laser jammer/radar detector, so that may be why I got the engine fault. The fault disappeared after about a week. No idea why but glad it did. Car runs great and no issues thus far with the extra power needed for my stereo/laser/radar. The weight difference between the Antigravity and the factory battery is pretty impressive.

Antigravity on my 991.2 gt3 for over one year. Flawless. Car goes weeks without start (I know I know, how can I control myself) with no issues. I bought all these plugs and stuff and never used it...

I have the 24Ah in my 991.2 GT3. Went over 3 weeks with no charge, car cranked first start with no issues.

Happy to share more details if needed. I have their battery tracker appliance and all and have been watching it like a hawk.
