Default DSC Sport controller First-Hand Impression on Track

Hello all,
We did a DSC Demo Day at Summit Point Raceway where we installed a DSC Sport V3 Plug & Play controller into each participants' car. Each demo participating driver drove their car on track with the factory suspension controller, once the driver got a good reference we then swap the factory controller with DSC. We did this in the Advanced Run Group via CHIN Track Days(Red Group). The demo event was a great success! We are completely stoked to see the first hand impression that puts bigger smiles on drivers faces and we got the opportunity to share our technology. Here's a video with impressions from a couple of experienced racers-

New for August 2019 and featured in our DSC demo is our new DSC G-Table in Sport mode. We refer to this update as our new "GRS" calibration file. The new GRS calibration file is available for all 991.1/991.2/981/718 cars. For all current DSC Sport users the new GRS calibration file will be available for download later this week at www.dscsport.com

My job that day was to follow the participating cars with and without. One the same day, same conditions, same drivers its easily 0.5 to 0.7 sec at that track.

Any similar demo days planned for NorCal? I think a few folks would be interested.

Also status on FAL bug for v3 on 991.2 GT3? Can't get an answer from DSC on when this will be resolved.

Only RSs on video but assume same for MT 991.2 GT3. Just waiting on resolution for FAL issue before I pull trigger.

Do you guys have any before/after data from the same day? I would love to try & buy the DSC controller and see the data from my AIM logger.

I've just installed v3 in my GT3, with the DSC Controller re-programmed on the advice of a pro driver in a colleague's GT3. Immediate and marked change with much more aggressive turn-in and faster mid-corner speed. Clear to see in data logs from my SoloDL. As currently set up, quite a lot more corner exit oversteer than I'm used to. For a rank amateur like me, that's going to take a bit of getting used to. Even so, equalled my PB at Sydney Motorsport Park in my first session post-change, and I can feel there is a whole lot to gain when I'm more dialled in. Very positive outcome – I was worried that my "feeling" was just confirmation bias, but the data prove that the change is real.

And no concerns about FAL, which is standard on all GT3s sold in Australia.

Which GT3 do you have? Not all of them are impacted by the FAL bug.

I was hoping that you would have beaten your PB rather than just matched it. What do feel was not allowing you to better your PB on the day? Track, weather, car, dsc box, driver, something else? Do you just need more time with the DSC to see the actual gain? Would you get that same gain if you just had more track time and no dsc?

It was like driving a different car. I'm not the fastest or most intuitive and came to this game later than most: it always takes me some time to make gains, even in an ostensibly faster car. The first time I drove an RS I was significantly slower than in my previous GT3. To match my previous best when it feels so different means I have substantial gains waiting on my ageing abilities to catch up!

Possibly. We need to partner with a NorCal DSC dealer to host a demo event. I'll see what I can do.

Thanks for the suggestion.
