Default Hill Hold Question

When I use the Hill Hold feature in my Touring it holds for just a second or two before automatically releasing itself. Is this normal? My previous manual would hold for an eternity.

Two Mississippis? That seems long. Should only be 1/2 Mississippi.

Yeah, mine releases very quickly too. Wish it would stay activated a bit longer. My BMW holds for several seconds, and I've become accustomed to the extra time.

On the GT cars it does not hold as long as the regular cars. So yes it is normal.

Yes, normal and much less intrusive in the driving experience, imo.

It's normal. If you want more time use the ebrake, it will automatically disengage when you drive off.

I believe the manual says 2 seconds, which is what my car holds for.

Call me old school, in all my years driving rarely stalled a manual, until the hill break feature. Wish we could disable this nanny...

How I deal with it. Hold with break, release break as engaging the clutch (hill break doesn’t engage) a little back roll balance and off you go...

I’ve had hill hold in other cars and haven’t minded it. But, not a fan of the implementation in the GT3. It seems to hold for too long after I get traction. Wish I could just turn it off — Id prefer to go old school.

After adjusting to it, I don’t notice it much anymore. Strangely, the light on my dash doesn’t light up. Maybe saving a few grams for GT3?
