The blue leather is called Royale WNP. Don't ask me what WNP stands for because I have no idea.
Thank you for your kinds words sir, but Porsche themselves have listed 20 Speedsters that they consider to be the most custom specced. 3 of them have already surfaced here on Rennlist (JCBH's Oak Green Metallic and Bob Ingram's Versuvio Metallic and my Azzurro Thetys). I know Bob Linton's beautiful Speedster is still at factory, so I can't wait to see pictures of it when it's all done

I start with looking at the overall shape of the car and decide which color will suit it the best. I think many owners focus on the color itself at first (eg. I want Voodoo Blue on my next car, or I want Meissen Blue if I ever get a Speedster) without considering the shape of the car. I'm also open to non-Porsche colors because I feel there are many colors offered from other manufacturers that are just spectacular.
When I saw the Speedster concept for the first time, I felt that the car looked its best in a lighter metallic shade (the 991 Speedster is a bit more angular than the previous iterations). I also wanted to do a blue themed car after my 911R, so I ended up choosing Azzurro Thetys (Lamborghini color originally). Meerblau was picked because it matched the interior leather color Royale WNP really well, which in turn, matched the darker navy blue shade in the Madras Karo fabric. It also offered a good contrast against the lighter Azzurro Thetys in the main body but still keeping everything in the blue theme family.
Chalk stitching and piping was used to match the lighter shade portion of the Madras Karo fabric. Stahlblau was picked for the grills and screen because it was one shade lighter than Meerblau, which I felt would come across as a good match with Meerblau given the fact that the screens are harder to see so you need a lighter shade to compensate for the difference.
After all that said and done, I took a big sip of Johnny Walker Blue and hoped that I didn't mess things up too badly

Cool build Unotaz.
Porsche did a fantastic job with the Speedster. ITBs are definitely noticeable and make a dramatic improvement. Acceleration is so linear and smooth. Effortless. For a drop top, I can't get over how well the Speedster feels. In many ways it's better than either my Touring or 991.2 GT3. Top up and it's basically an improved version of the Touring. At first I was unhappy they did a permanent top, but it was executed to perfection.

@unotaz
Some details of your Speedster remind me the 991R #989.
Nice build.
@bluehorseshoe
Nice car too
More "classical" build but very nice also.
Congratulations to both of you.

I agree, but I felt that they gave up a bit of the low end to give you a better response up top in the Speedster. The newer ITB engine also sounds different compared to the previous iterations. This one is higher pitched and likes to scream a bit more.
I think the GT department did a good job of calibrating the Speedster suspension setting. It’s even more softer (more road biased) than the R, which is softer than the Touring. I personally didn’t like the way the Speedster sounded in stock form especially with the top up. But that’s easily fixable with a Dundon or Akrapovich.

Yes, #989 was a nice build as well. His R was the first 991 to have a colored matte wheel from the factory
