Default Dundon 991.2 GT3 Power Package, +47lbft and +38whp, lose 40lbs

We're gonna keep the party moving.

We continue to develop and find power in the 991 NA GT Cars as we love the challenge of finding all the little things the accountants made the engineers back off on at the factory.

The 991.1/991.2 GT3RS was firstup, then we did the 991.2 GT3 Touring, Now the 991.2 GT3 (tested a pdk, applies to manuals as well). Next will be the 991.1 GT3 (as soon as the customer can get his car out of his garage due to torn up driveway...).

Results from a 991.2 GT3 PDK car. *from our testing a manual reads about ~10whp higher as there is less parasitic losses in the manual trans than the PDK. We'll work on getting a Winged Manual car to test, anyone in the NW interested contact us!

Reran the numbers and 47lbft gains max and 38whp gains max with 475whp peak power!

The reason for the street/track testing:

By reducing the pressure losses in the intake and allowing a more "free flow" into the engine the engine makes power two ways. First less engine power is used overcoming the parasitic losses of the stock intake tract. And Second we're able to get more high pressure air to the intake valve to cram in more air into the cylinder. Both of these translate into more power and on a car that uses Ram air to it's advantage (scoops on the decklid), the gains are more than can be measured on a static dyno.

Those that have been following along on the other threads:

Street Headers: $7295
93mm Intake and Dual Cone Airbox: 7990
Lifetime Muffler: $4395 (Optional but recommended due to 3" flow path in ours and full X pipe vs 2.5" stock muffler flow path)

No Cobb for the MED17.1.11 cars (all the NA GT cars). We are working on tunes for them.

Good question on the RS, Based on our data logging the RS is definitely running a different tune with different ignition targets and cam timing. A tune on the 991.2 GT3 and Touring would help the car a bunch just to get to the RS tune, but Porsche frowns on ECU tunes, so caveat emptor.

We used USA 92 octane with Ethanol.

Updated the dyno as the max gains weren't quite correct. Now they're correct.

Had a few interested parties from FB and IG, no one on Rennlist is looking to help their 991.2 GT3 breathe better?

We're looking for some performance testers to use a Dragy GPS performance device to measure before and after data, safely on the deserted back road, track or 1/4 mile. The reason being only some of the performance is capable to be captured on the dyno. For this you get 20% for a limited time.

93mmTB/Center Plenum: $3895
Lifetime Muffler: $4195 (Optional but recommended due to 3" flow path in ours and full X pipe vs 2.5" stock muffler flow path)

Total with discount and no muffler: $12788
Total with discount w/ Lifetime Muffler: $16144

To compare there are full exhaust systems out there that don't provide these gains and cost $14000+

Interesting that the dyno numbers are pretty siimilar to the dyno numbers of just the street headers alone. On your website it shows the 991.2 GT3 putting down 477 rwhp with just street headers. Here it is putting out 474.6.

The Dundon Street Headers on 991.2 GT3

477whp Peak

20-25whp gains at 8200-8500 rpm

40lbft-46lbft gains at 3000-5000 rpm

According to your website^

That was a manual that started at 457whp, and got 20whp peak.. this was a pdk and it got 38whp. Once we get a manual on the dyno will let you know...

Sounds good, thanks. Interested to see the manual results.

Its interesting but these bits costs 10% of the value of the car. Question of value I guess.

Cool mods I am sure but the price point is astronomical....$16k with the 20% off deal then $20k for everyone else for 38hp plus installation cost. I’m sure you’ll sell a few kits but not to the masses or even 10% of the GT3 population. 20k is a lot of track days and brake parts and oil changes...this is not to be taken as negative but in a post above you asked if there is anyone on Rennlist, which is your largest enthusiast GT population that want this deal since no one here has ponied up.

Agreed, I'd rather work through a lot of tires, brake pads and rotors - appreciate the good work tho

Hey- if you can sell the amount of kits you want at these price points then more power to you. I think all of this has gotten out of control. You have ADMs from Dealers and crazy prices from Vendors. Appears no one is immune. I only street drive my Wingey and these cars stock are plenty fast. I will admit that my GT4 needed more juice but not the GT3s but I guess it all depends what one wants.

I don't have the Intake and TB yet but the full exhaust system with the loud muffler is worth every penny. Increased power you can feel, loss of 40lbs and the sound is can only be compared to a Beethoven composition. The only way I can explain the sound is that: if you think the stock GT3 sounds a 10 out of 10. The Dundon system is about a 15 out of 10. Its not too loud that your neighbors hate you, doesn't drone and the tone is a big enhancement over the stock system. I truly get excited when I take my car to the track because rowing through the gears with my Numeric shifter combined with the Dundon exhaust system that screams bloody murder all the way to 9k RPM is automobile and auditory Nirvana. The sound is truly addictive. As you can tell, sound for me plays a big part in how I personally enjoy a car.

If you are one of those people who cant leave a stock car alone like myself, the Dundon full system with the loud muffler is truly one of the best upgrades money can buy. Paired with the Numeric shifter and cables makes it even better if you are a manual junkie like me. I honestly thought the stock shifter was amazing until I got the numeric shifter and cables. Think rifle bolt shifts, no slop, Miata or S2000 precision and about 40% shorter throws. I was nervous at first to change a great thing but I couldn't be happier I did. Both the shifter and the exhaust are upgrades what take the GT3 manual to another level and makes you look forward even more every time you get in your car.

I cant wait to get the Intake system And TB. Yeah it costs a pretty penny but most power, brakes or wheel upgrades on the gt3 do.

I have no affiliation with either Numeric or Dundon, just a big fan of their products and an upgrade junkie.

Two weekends ago I was in the Smokies with a small group of Smokies GT friends. While there I had the opportunity to play bumper tag following a stock .2RS in my .2 GT3 with Dundon street headers. With equal corner exits the RS wasn't pulling me much if any and I believe the two of us are relatively close in driving skills. I'm seriously considering the next step.
