That’s not surprising as even stock the .2 GT3 Manual is not that far behind an RS in a straight line (Manual loses less power and nearly offsets the extra 20hp of the RS). Do you have Manual or PDK?

Alan - I would expect you’ll be faster than an RS in a straight line (from rolling start) with the Dundon mods

I had several exhausts on my 997.2 GT3. From full Akrapovic race to a simple Europipe. Came across a set of Dundon Race Headers by chance last year; it’s been best all around exhaust upgrade I’ve ever done on a GT3 (performance and sound wise). The 991.2 GT3 felt anemic with the stock exhaust system. There was an immediate and significant improvement in the midrange both in hp and tq with the race headers and it really opened it up. Loud but beautiful sound at full throttle, and civilized around town (at least to me, ymmv). Then added their black/loud muffler because the stock one was too weak for the track. Nothing but compliments on the sound from anyone who hears it in person. Even random drivers at traffic lights. My Touring now pulls slightly on .2 3RS. I’m now adding the Dundon TB/Plenum now just because. Very satisfied with the results, quality products/materials, lifetime warranty on the parts (even if you try to destroy them at the track), and the customer service is excellent. Wouldn’t spend/waste my money on other performance parts brand now or on future GT cars.

This is not what I have observed on track - its very clear the .2RS walks away from the GT3, carries more corner speed and has higher exit speed. its actually not that close.

Far better off spending the money on quality driver training.

I was very specifically referring to straight-line speed only from a roll between Manual .2 and RS (and even then said the RS was faster, but not much). I agree that the RS is the faster track car, so if you compare the pace of the cars after a corner that the RS takes faster then it is not the fair straight-line comparison I meant (both cars from a roll at the same speed).

Ok but you're talking about a very narrow window. You could add a Cobb tune to a GTS and it would be game over which is an equally narrow window. The difference being 2k Vs 20k............😀

Honestly this offering is way over priced - great that it's happened but non the less way over priced. Sorry Dundon but that's a whopping try on

Waiting for the larger plenum and TB. Set to arrive Thursday. Hopefully I get to install Friday.

FWIW, with race headers and black muffler only, it currently pulls on .1 RS and stays head to head with .2 RS with catback exhaust (and even pulls slightly when no-lift shifting). Not sure how much the plenum and TB set up will improve, but it’s just for fun. Good thing is I’ll be recording gps runs, and some before after dynos (Though I still think the Touring doesn’t dyno well in top end and performs better in motion on the road/track).

On another note, ran a base 991.2 Carrera with tune, downpipes/exhaust, etc, last weekend (about 450 whp and 475wtq), and it was surprisingly fast. Could not pass me on several 80 mph to 160+ mph runs (even though I had a passenger, and it didn’t) but was damn close; too close. They can be fast, but lack the glorious NA sound. Still, great value.

Regarding the 991.2 GT3 RS, can you please provide the gains for the catted street headers alone vs with the larger airbox and throttle body added?

First performance tester data in, he did Street headers and Full Intake Kit
Don't want to steal his thunder...
End of straight speeds increased from 166 before the kit to 171 after
~2seconds faster lap times than 991.2 GT3's that were within 0.5seconds before the mods (this is the most variable data so take with a grain of salt).
And dropped on average about 9.2-9.3 seconds 60-130 before to 8.4-8.5seconds after.

More data is coming in and more kits going out...

Manuals are faster than an RS without mods from a roll.
