Well that doesn't sound nearly as good as the current RSR.

Loud and farty. Looks great. Assume the sound difference is side exhaust.

The new RSR has a side exit exhaust which allows Porsche to fit a bigger rear diffuser thats why it sounds so different because being mid-engined, there's virtually no exhaust piping to play with. Most of the sound that people associate with the Porsche F6 actually comes from the exhaust not the engine.

I also thought the reason for the side exhaust system was a larger rear diffuser.

However, I heard from the horse’s mouth yesterday at Watkins Glen that the primary motivation was enhancing torque.

Sounds like a Turbo. Honestly I don’t care as long as it’s fast and wins races....Go Porsche!

I was looking and listening and didn't see brake lights or hear him lift.

You think that's better than some of these? The first one in the video going down that same exact straight as in the RSR vid above is a V6 turbo. Sounds way better than the P car to me...
Or are you talking only about current F1?

Obviously he meant current F1. Nothing sounds better than the atmo era in F1
