Default New Member and First Time Porsche 991 GT3 Owner...

Hello everyone! Just wanted to jump in and start contributing, as I am a new member here and first time I have owned a Porsche of any kind.

I purchased a 2015 911 GT3 had it for a couple of months and decided that I liked it so much I was going to invest in a newer model and am about to purchase a 2018 911 GT3.
I'm a software engineer by trade, but also an entrepreneur and real estate investor and I like to do YouTube for fun as a hobby to share the car ownership experience and how I am able to afford the cars.

I also own a Lamborghini Huracan, a Challenger Hellcat, and a Mustang GT.

Looking forward to joining in on the discussions and sharing my ownership experience and learning from some of the veterans out there, as I know very little about Porsche other than a couple of visits to the experience centers and lots of magazine and youtube obsessing over the GT3...

Here is the first GT3 that I purchased.

Thank you! I am coming to realize that Porsche owners are some cool people. Nothing like getting beat up on an Audi forum for anything hahaha.
Looking forward to enjoying my next GT3... Picking it up Saturday.

Yes, it’s guards red. Still breaking her in but so far I’m really impressed. Pretty sure you’ll love yours too. The 991.2 engine is a big improvement !

How long is the break in period on the 4.0 engine? The one I am going to pick up has 2800 miles on it...

Welcome to RL and good luck with the new GT3. The .2 GT3 variants have been very solid so far. As one would expect it's a refined version of the car you owned before. Most noticeable upgrades are the low end torque of the 4.0 motor and the vastly improved PCM w/ Carplay. Not much to complain about in these cars.

Thank you for the welcome. The crazy thing is that I really thought the 3.8 had decent low end torque. I was pleasantly surprised, so if the low end torque on the 4.0 is better, wow I can't wait to drive it!
