To clarify, will a 991.2 GT3RS pass on a 90 db day with the geofence gizmo and un-silenced turnaway tips (like the Sharkwerks)? I'm not clear if the success people had on a 90 db day was only with silenced turnaways.....

Yes, it should pass, however, Laguna now has portable sound stations that they occasionally utilize, and it is not only turn 5 you have to worry about it.

First I've heard of this but I haven't been there for a couple months.

Part of the design brief for our silenced tips were that they were no heavier than the stock tips

Whichever way you look at it for noise critical days it’s a great quick fix part that can avoid being asked to go home and losing out on a day of fun

I track there twice a month... It's all urban legend.

Did a 92db day last week at Laguna and passed with no problem all day.

My setup again:

.1 GT3
Track Nanny GPS
Soul silenced turn downs adjusted more to the drivers side instead of straight down this time.
OEM sides
JCR silenced CMB

No wind and average temp about 70F. This was the same setup that I got meatballed with a 95db earlier this year on a 90db day so maybe just more leniency with the 92db day.

I live up in Washington and have always wanted to drive Laguna. I'm going down for a track day at Thunderhill in April and there's 90db Laguna day a few days after. My question to you all is, can someone rent me some turn down pipes and the GPS nanny for this event? I don't want to spend money on these just to use them once. Anyway, pm me if you can help me out.

The track nanny is not a simple plug & play from a wiring standpoint as you have to have access to the engine compartment. IIRC the bumper had to come off to access the solenoid. Since it's your first time there I wouldn't worry it. Just keep your PSE turned off (valves closed under 4K) and short shift out of 5. You'll lose a little time but in the overall scheme of things I'm not sure that will be a big deal your first day there.

But I drive flat out!!! Kidding So, that's good enough, just short shifting at 5? There's only one sound station?

Signed up for a 105db event at Laguna Seca. Curious from those with experience if either of the following would likely blow sound at 105db:

- 991.2 GT3 with JCR rear center delete and silenced turn down tips. No GPS nanny.

- 991.2 GT3 RS with JCR valved race pipe and silenced turn down tips. No GPS nanny.

Thoughts from the Laguna sound experts?

I'm still interested in renting some silenced turn down pipes from someone, if you can help me out. I don't think I'd want to risk going there without any noise protection.
