Nice install! That's great that there's an option to resolve the air bag light functionality. The sparcos are honestly the best seats for a mixed use car, recline with harness support and the leather/alcantara is a perfect match for interiors. I saw a pair of these in a GT4 and at first glance they look totally oem.

Can you only get the driver's side SPX? And if we leave the passenger side stock, the factory airbag on the passenger side should function properly I assume? Been thinking to upgrade to a bucket seat for safety but only need for the driver's side.

You can purchase a single seat. I checked into it last year. In the past I used to put a Sparco seat upside down with the back facing the dash in the passenger side. A quick swap at the track and I had a proper seat in the car for the weekend. I put the factory seat in a large garbage bag at the track. Swapped them back for the ride home. My dealer was really good about resetting my airbag light, no charge.

Shouldn't be a problem to only install the driver's side. As long as you retain all the factory occupancy detection hardware, the only complication would be mimicking the resistance of the driver-side airbag.

I'm not sure about the 991.1 and .2 cars but on my 09 C2S the driver's airbag deployed with a Sparco seat installed, red light on. The belt tensioner also deployed even though it wasn't in use. I was using a set of 7 points. Happened at Mid-Ohio when a GT3 in front of me dumped it's coolant.

Very comfortable seats. One of the best reclinables out there if not the best.

Great info, would love to hear from someone who had a similar experience in the 991. Regardless, my OCD could never have allowed that light to remain lit...

Seriously comfortable, and serious lateral support. Everyone who's sat in them has commented that the lateral support is better than the LWB. The folding and reclinable seat back are super convenient, as well! Overall, VERY happy with the purchase thus far.

That's the pricing I was offered by Vivid Racing. I think it was a short-term special, as others have mentioned their quoted price was a little (not much) higher.

Looks like the seat only support a 4 points harness, correct? Nevermind, found the answer from GMG, the base does have a sub mount strap slot.

You might have gotten some bad info. As far as I can tell, there's no slot in the base for the sub-belts. Though there is a distinct lack of stitching in that area- maybe there's an easy way to open up a slot?

The thigh bolsters aren’t nearly as tall as the Porsche LWB, so I’ll say yes. I think most of the “difficulty” in entering/exiting the LWB stems from being deathly afraid of resting any weight on the bolster.
