I pasted this over to the other "odd noises/clunking" thread since I am not sure everyone is following along with both. I recommend pulling wheels and checking for these shipping retainers.
I had two of these green retainers still on my car when I got it and the first owner had already put 900 miles on it......
One day I saw them and debated with myself if they were supposed to be there; finally decided to remove them and see if the car fell apart.
All well so far.
Pic added; they are very heavy duty
You do realize that your car just lost 25 hp, right?
Mine does the same. Almost like it's bottoming out on a jarring bump. Didn't have the issue on the .1. it doesn't happen enough to take in and have the dealer go on a Witch Hunt for the issue.
Mine (Touring) works fine. Only thing so far: Airbag Module had to be replaced; the old one triggered false alerts / emergency calls with Porsche Assist.
Besides, my gear shifter moves a bit back and forth in 4th gear, but this seems to be normal according to Porsche.

Funny, but my friend also had this problem. Car called to emergency center with the message "airbad deployed" many times. He had to instruct emergency service to ignore messages from his car at all.
I don't know how/if this was resolved. It it still the subject, I'll let him know it's airbag module fault.
When the steering wheel is turned all the way in either direction, the tires rub badly. This issue is especially apparent and made worse if you have the lifter in the ‘up’ position. I’m surprised this isn’t brought up more often..

In Switzerland, all 991.2 GT3s are currently subject to a recall from Porsche to exchange the Airbag module. I had mine replaced already in December 2018 and the issue did not recur after the exchange.
