991.1 vs 997.2 GT3RS
Was hoping to get some good opinions here. I've been Porscheless now for almost two years since I sold my GT2. While I'm happy with what I currently have I certainly miss the Porsche experience. I'm thinking of buying an RS but am struggling to decide between the 997.2 and 991.1 GT3RS. Aside from the obvious, manual vs PDK, I was hoping to pick some brains from this informative bunch! I've driven neither but have had a 996 GT3 and 997 GT2. Never had an RS!
Thanks!
I've posted this identical thread in the 997 forum as well

I think it depends on what you see when you look at a 997.2. Do you see a car that's more more analogue/engaging, older technology, fewer made/more collectible? Or do you see a dated 991.1?
I've never owned the 997 GT2. I've driven one. I think on some level, the 997 will be close to that (different engine, etc.), but it will be a 997 GT car. I think it depends on what you want and why you are buying it.
I like the 991.1 - maybe they made alot of them, but prices seem to be getting good on them. You certainly will have more choices on 991.
I'm trading my 997.2 RS in when 991.2 arrives. I like the new stuff, but can certainly appreciate the old.
