i really like it. much smaller overall footprint than a traditional 4 post, which was too big for how i wanted my garage setup. its an oversized 2 car garage that i can get 3 cars in parallel and then the 4th with the autostacker.

SOUL sure makes a good product but I'll never know. When I tried to buy one with the optional black tips several months ago no one would ever get back to me. Kept getting responses like "we'll get back to you" and no one ever did.
Ended up getting a different brand

Thumbs up Black Tips

I don't even have my car yet, and I just ordered one w/ black tips.

Ask for John G. He's very informative and helpful.

Hey, this is very abnormal and I apologize that this was your experience with us. I'm going to PM you and I'd like more information so we can make sure this never happens again. Hopefully we can make it up to you in the future.

Cbrett- Best looking .2 RS I have seen yet. Love how naked the outside looks. Now that i have seen your baby I do not like all the CF hood and black script stuff. Some people put too much bling on the outside and that is not what I think this car needs.

Yes, valved with clicker for permanent open/closed.
Stop by or take it for a drive next time I see you at the track.

Awesome post. Thanks for sharing! I have tried both the center muffler delete, the side delete, and both. Both was a tad loud for daily driving, albeit still EPIC. I think either the side or center delete compliments these cars very well! Thanks again!

John - I get the 2000-3500rpm drone when running my OEM setup with valves always open (vacuum lines plugged). Your pictures confirm my suspiscion, that mostly only the center muffler is in play with my setup. Does that mean that a "center bypass/delete" i.e. running with sides only will eliminate the drone? Or have you experienced drone also with "sides only"? In that case, what do you recommend?

(my original problem is the transition from open to closed to open valves i.e. nice sound -> too quiet -> nice sound, even with PSE ON...)

I'm glad you like it Eric : ) Thanks for the feedback on combining a center and side muffler delete, that combo has a cabin presence for sure but for some it's worth the BRAAAAP! haha.

Glad you like it Mike, it's a neat feature we have with our valved systems. We also have a valve controller kit that can override the factory PSE controls for 100% closed or open. I know some 991.2 GT3 guys have been complaining that the PSE closes the valves in low rpm acceleration despite having the PSE in the valves open condition.

Erik you are on point. I can confidently say that the valves closed condition with factory side mufflers alone is a bit more restrictive on sound vs a full factory system with valves open. This contributes to why a center muffler bypass has a more notable transition in sound between valves closed and open. However, although I have much more seat time than most with various exhaust configurations on Porsches I firmly believe that nobody should use the term "eliminate" and noone should ever "guarantee" a particular experience with drone/cabin presence. It is simply too much of a subjective topic. We all have too much differentiation in experience and sensitivity to draw such a clear line on it. That said, I also preach that an educated decision is the best decision. With proper communication like what we are all having in this thread, anyone should be able to be navigate the gray area and be confident in pursuing an avenue that best meets their goals.

If anyone viewing this thread is interested in the side muffler bypass pipes in particular, both our valved and non-valved versions are on special until 12/16. If you'd like to take advantage of that, follow this link to our 991 GT3 product page to review them. We also have all these products for 997 GT3's as well, I may post this thread in that subforum as well
