Installed side bypass on my GT3RS recently. Sounds good! It's actually a much deeper, more bass-heavy sound than I was expecting. At least compared to the center delete I had on my GT3. But I like the side bypass more because it lets you still hear the angry metallic grind of the engine, whereas the center delete overpowers that. Downshifts are brutal and you feel them in your back. Upshifts are also visceral and the car makes satisfying thunder cracks between 5K and 7K. Here's a quick video:

Awesome flyby Peter, and it was nice seeing you at the 48hrs the other weekend. Congrats on breaking into the 13s on the Dunlops!

I replaced my AWE Switchpath full system with Soul valved side bypasses and the OEM TI muffler this AM. I loved the sound of the AWE, but decided I wanted a little more decibel delta between the quiet and loud settings, so went back to the stock center section. I've only driven it for a few minutes, but I'm happy with the sound. It still sounds the same as the AWE to my ears at WOT, but less obnoxious at cruise. That being said, it made the road noise of the Cup 2's much more noticeable. I'm very impressed with the Soul build quality. I will be selling the AWE shortly.

Here's my personal opinion after playing with various exhaust combinations on my RS and Touring. I have Fabspeed side bypass w/ valves and Soul center bypass. I've had both cars with different exhaust combinations parked side by side revving and driven back to back or within a day or two on same roads...
OEM Side + OEM Center = boring and a crime to own a GT car w/o any exhaust mods. You have got to do something, don't wait and you'll thank me for it.
Side Bypass w/ valves + Center Bypass = too loud, especially between 2500 and 3x00 RPM, not good for road driving. No chance to pass sound at almost any track.
Side Bypass w/ valves + OEM center = good sound and saves 30 or so pounds from rear/side of car so I kept this configuration on the RS as I wanted to save the most weight w/o ruining road driving experience. The Ti center section of the RS sounds better than the Touring's SS section, and lighter too.
OEM Side + Center Bypass = not as loud as above but gives the best tone to my ears so I kept this configuration on the Touring even though not the lightest but on a Touring, weight saving isn't as important as best sound.

I appreciate you asking! We have 991 generation headers in the prototyping stage as we speak, as well as a reinforcement to the factory steel center mufflers to help support the pressure of adding free flowing headers into the mix.
