Default Over Revs - yet again!

I know there are a lot of threads on Over Revs but I’m still not clear so I’d appreciate the wisdom of this group. I’m seriously looking at a 2018 manual GT-3 with 2500 mi with the following from a DME report:

Range. #Ignitions. Operating Time

1. 108. 3084 minutes
2. 32. 2262 minutes
3. 9. 1002 minutes
4-6. 0. 0 minutes

Also notes max engine speed reading 9262 rpm. I don’t see anywhere total hours driven.

Thanks in advance for your comments!

The over revs 1-3 by themselves are not too bad. More concerning is that this is a 2018 with only 2500 miles with this many over revs so early in it's life. And 9262 rpms at least once. What the heck was the driver doing? And apparently doing it repeatedly? Me, I would walk away.

Walk, too many good cars. Over revs have raised their ugly head again with the manual trans cars. I can't wait to hear the cry from a money shift.

Range 3 over revs at 16 hours on the engine? What's the total time at now? I don't think Range 3's are just bumping the red-line. Probably didn't damage the engine but I would shy away.

Thanks all. Your replies are consistent with my service advisor. Car is at CNC Motors in So Cal so be wary

This does not imply doing it repeatedly - the number indicates the number of spark plug ignitions in that range which adds up very quickly at that speed in a fraction of a second. It's very likely that this was a single event. I would guess you need to miss a shift to exceed 9,200 rpm but I'm not certain. Might be something like hitting a little bump at high speed that gives a little air under the rear tires and lets them spin freely momentarily while flooring the accelerator, until traction control and/or rev-limiter can react. Or maybe bouncing off the limiter could register 9 range 3's...

If it is a missed shift, it is a very minor one (less than 3% over redline) and probably did nothing. If you miss a shift going from 3rd to 4th at redline and select 2nd by mistake, you get something over 40% (over 12,600 rpm) beyond redline...

EDIT: I guess there were 3 instances of over-revs from the different number of minutes (but seems like at least the first two were just bumping the limiter - very common and not harmful). Probably one instance of Range 3 at 16.7 hours of driving. If averaging 60 miles per hour, then this is 1000 miles (and more than the recommended break-in of 930 miles under 7,000 rpm in the Euro booklet).

The car is fine, I just don’t like the idea of a 2500 mile car with over revs and I don’t even believe in breaking in a car...
I tracked many manuals into the rev limiter (3rd gear and up) and zero overrevs...

Perception always trumps reality.
Emotions overrule facts.

The report is fine if you are ok with reality and facts.

The report is not fine if you are run by perception and emotions

+1. Car is fine.

On a side note, this motor revs so fast up top, on track it's almost impossible NOT to bounce of the limiter from time to time on 2-3 or 3-4 upshifts, unless you are purposely short shifting. For those who somehow think this hurts the car, again, that is not the case.

I used to bounce off the rev-limiter at Mid-O coming out of the Keyhole in 2nd gear in 7.1RS. Ahh, good memories......

^^ The facts point to likely abuse.
My oerceprion is that it could have been overreed on a cold engine.
