I think the dealer has 10 customers wanting to test drive a GT3 , before they commit to buying a new or used GT3 , so the dealer is offering them to drive your friend's GT3
It is a stupid intimidation tactic to tell your friend this BS story
tell them not to touch other than PDI , take the car
and never give them any business down the line

When I picked up my car there were no other 911 variants of any type at the dealership.....except my GT3T
They did get a GT3RS about three weeks ago but it was ordered and bought by someone out of state...

I've been told that PEC delivery is actually an exception where they usually run the car on the track to ensure everything is operating correctly as part of their prep. Definitely not 120 miles, but a few extra laps to test everything. My PEC car had 30 miles upon delivery and I watched them testing a 3RS and 2RS and they're not pushing them hard, just enough to ensure everything is running correctly. At PEC LA they also use the motorsports bay for the inspection which is a bit cool to see your car up on a lift next to cup cars and a 956.

This is a buyers worst fear. I am at the dealer meeting the truck and watching every step of the PDI and riding with them to fuel up. All the time documenting everything on video. That seems to keep them honest.

You ride with them to put gas in the car and video the PDI? What did you do during delivery of your first born?
