A GT3 Touring is a GT3 Touring.

Good article. I think these are great cars, and I would have bought one had I been able to find allocation. Instead I settled on a 15 GTS Manual, pretty much for the same reasons quoted in this article: Combining a naturally-aspirated engine with a manual transmission is a dying breed in the Porsche world, and indulging the enthusiast with this option is heaven-sent
I do think we're seeing more manual transmission builds in the past year or so. thanks for sharing.

"It’s perfect. Porsche put insane amounts of effort and calibration into the GT3 Touring, and they’ve even improved over the 911 R so many compare this car to, which I drove privately last year."
- Amen. The significantly better engine seals the deal for everyone that isn't already heavily invested in their R and its inferior motor

race7117, thanks for the note, it really helps me feel good about my purchase decision. I've really enjoyed my 991.1 GTS, it's my first 911. It took me about a year to find the right one, and I found it on this site. Your comment regarding the Touring gearbox seems spot on to me, as the 7 gears on my GTS feels like 1 too many. I'd love a little more range in 1st gear.
Hopefully one of these day's I'll be able to get a GT3RS as my 2nd 911!

Ever get into a public vs private school debate? Without doubt each party defends their invested position.
Regardless, Monkey Harris approves of the Touring, that's all the validation I needed.
