I thought it looked a little odd up close as well.

Watching the 919 go 185mph down the straight was pretty cool though.

A couple of random thoughts....I was standing in front of the stage when they unveiled it. They unveiled the Speedster concept first and it was kind of weird b/c they introduced it as a concept which everyone knew about already not saying anything about whether they would actually build it. Then they unveiled the 935 and everyone gasped because I think it really was a complete surprise. I haven't read anything about it. What wasn't a surprise is that they are going to use the 2RS engine (about 700 hp) and only make 70 examples You could hear the groans. I thought it looked very cool in motion and when the factory driver drove by us and revved the engine for the crowd it sounded awesome. I snuck around the rope and peered inside when the door was opened. Is that a PDK lever? Seems like it sould have something different in a car like this.

I heard at Rennsport can only can be ordered through motorsport (not dealers). CJ will get one.

 

I'm with CJ right now eating s'mores around a campfire after Rennsport, reading this thread cuddled under a blanket together.. and he says he doesn't want his allocation.. first one to DM him gets it. Ballsy move on his part.. I'm impressed.

 

Coincidence that it was published the day after the reveal? Guess 19Bozzy92 is on the Porsche payroll....
