GT2RS STOLEN IN SWEDEN ****

I think it would be hard to tell if this was done by a Professional.
Remember about 18 months ago the Gentleman who had his GT3 car stolen from his Beverly Hills home only to learn the Culprits found the keys when they broke in and took the car for a joy ride. Car was recovered from what I recall
Hard to believe they broke in while Family was sleeping to recover the keys. Possible it was a similar situation.
BTW - I always have my GT3 key hidden for this reason. I keep my other keys on the counter

OP, glad you and your family are unharmed and I hope the car returns unharmed as well. Crappy situation.

My Sister in Law once hid in her house over a $1,000,000 in jewelry, from a previous marriage, and blamed every one that they were stolen only to find them 18 months later- Can not make this stuff up

FWIW, a GT3RS was stolen in Washington State last year and was recovered a few weeks later. The people saying the car is likely already on a boat to Africa or wherever need to realize Gone in 60 Seconds was a movie, not real life.

I am so sorry to hear this, someone tried breaking into my garage a little over a month ago trying to get access to my GT3 RS is my guess. I fortified the home with cameras and motion detectors and alarm security throughout as well as bright lights to help deter them. I hope you get your car back safely but at least you and your family are safe. I hate thieves with a passion.

Not much to add other than I also couldn't believe the title & this happening, but above all else it's just a car/material thing and I'm glad that you and your family are otherwise hopefully ok. A lot of focus on the finding the 2RS but I would also focus on securing the property to ensure you and your wife are very safe at all times
Sorry to hear Dan

I know that the car wasn’t stolen this way, but since we’re on a thread about a stolen 911 I just want to point out that cars with remote start (i.e., where you have the dummy fob in the ignition) can easily be stolen with the simple technology thieves use to remotely pirate the key fob signal from inside your house. I don’t think the GT cars can be ordered with this option, so maybe this is not relevant to our GT cars, but just giving a public service announcement to all 911 owners to watch out for this. I took my dummy fob off my C2S because of this.

This is awful! Hope it is recovered intact.
When I had my house built I had the electrician wire the garage door opener circuit with an unlabeled switch that I can shut off. I use it when I go out of town etc.
Garage with the cars is on its own zone so it can be fully armed with house alarm off.
