hard to argue with Ferrari, but I love my turbo as a second car. nice to have the turbo rush (something different) and its practical to daily (back seats, frunk space, etc.).

I loved the 458 sound (had 2 of them), but my 570S has been more reliable and way more “special”.
My huracan got boring and the seating position was never perfect for me.
i wouldn’t be adverse to trading the 570S for another 458 though, the sound draws me back. The looks, the speed, and the updated tech make me keep it.

My plan, actually, is to trade the 570S for a 991.2 RS and have a Manual .2 GT3 and a PDK RS. Is that stupid or what?!

McLaren has too many issues and crazy depreciation. Kind of why I gravitated back to Porsche. I just have 2 Porsches instead of German + Italian. Scratched that itch.

Mclaren if you want a very different experience with the turbo charged engine. Unlike the 488, the 570S doesn’t seem to make much effort to hide that it’s turbocharged.

My last pick would be the Huracan. I found it a bit boring to drive for a performance car of that price point. GT3 is a far superior driving experience imo.

458. But, I will say the single clutch gallardo is simply awesome. If you're a 3 pedal guy and love stick cars, the single clutch egear/f1 is raw as it gets and will crack your skull.

Wow, thanks for the response on this old thread. I still haven't decided and with Corona being a pain in the a**, I've been enjoying the GT3 a lot more. I've been looking at 488s as well now.

Lol, old thread. I will say I drove a 570GT a couple weeks ago and thought it was boooooring compared to my GT3RS. No interest at all. It did look cool and I liked the doors, but other than that, no way.

That being said, I’m buying a 600LT, and looking forward to comparing when I get it.

I think this is an easy choice—you should pair it with a spider and I think the 675LT spider is the best choice by far. Once in a lifetime car at a bargain of a price.

Full disclosure, I sell Ferrari's!

That said, to me the engine is really the soul of the car, and the GT3 and the 458 have two of the greatest sports car engines of all time. Having one of each in the garage would be just about perfect IMO, especially if the Ferrari were a Speciale. There are faster cars than either, made by the same manufacturers and many others, and there will be faster cars than those next year, and the year after that....To me it's all about the driving experience and overall package. Good luck!

Speciales are still around the $500K CDN mark here in Canada. Not happening for me haha.

The cars are 5-6 years old now and at this point we've seen the bulk of the depreciation that we're going to see. The wild-card here is the events of the past six weeks, and I don't think any of us will know how that bodes for the market until we are we are truly past this. With that in mind, this is my take. There are the "holy grail" collector-grade Speciale's with all of the right options, colors (Rosso Corsa/Nart Blue-White stripe, etc) and very low miles (under 2k), no-story, CPO. These cars will still sell for MSRP+ X, and as the pool becomes smaller over time I think they'll always be north of MSRP. From that car, you work your way down to MSRP and slightly back depending on all the usual variables. There will always be the outliers, big miles, track rats, bad Carfax or story, cosmetically challenged, modified cars, etc. that could potentially be 20% back of original MSRP over time (but they're not there yet). You can see that even the "cheap" cars have held values remarkably well. I think this is the only modern standard-production Ferrari model that has consistently sold for MSRP or higher for 5+ years and after having been superseded. I don't ever envision a scenario of a quality 458 Speciale being a $250k car. We can always revisit this at the end of the year, and if I'm wrong then we'll all have much bigger worries than what cars are worth!
