GT3 - Best Pairing: 570s, Huracan, 458, or Nothing?

If you are doing street, there is nothing more fun than ferraris, comfortable, beautiful sound, not unreliable, extremely fun to drive, beautiful to look at.

Ive been thinking the same. It’s a toss up for me of what to add to a manual 991.2 gt3. A ferrari Speciale or Huracan Performante. Drove a performante and 570 on the track and was quite impressed with the Lambo. Much better in my hands than the Mclaren. Never driven a Speciale but drove a 458 italia and thought it was the perfect exotic for the street and occasional track.

I have a Performante and am doing just the opposite. Have been looking for a manual GT3. Will see what happens. Won’t go into the whole market value thing as we all know about that.
Cadaver, I absolutely love my Perf. It is so much more than a standard Huracan. Not a knock on the standard H (great car) but this car is just incredible. Very quick, sticks like glue, and sounds like no other. Lamborghini got this one right!
OP, I had another thought for you. Since you’re looking at McLarens, what about a CPOed 650S. I’ve had one and they are incredible in their own right. When I bought it, it was between that, a570S, and a Huracan. I chose the 650S. I liked the looks better than 570 and greedily wanted the extra power. Plus it had the active aero and magic carpet suspension. It’s a tad more squirrely than the other but I think it add to the fun. In a straight line it will mop the floors with the Huracan and especially the 458. It’s on par with a 488 acceleration wise. Just another thought. Again, all great cars and you’re not going to go wrong any way.

A 458 / 488 is a good blend and good complements to the GT3.

I’ve had them all.
Now have a Manual GT3 and a 570S.
I loved the 458 sound (had 2 of them), but my 570S has been more reliable and way more “special”.
My huracan got boring and the seating position was never perfect for me.
i wouldn’t be adverse to trading the 570S for another 458 though, the sound draws me back. The looks, the speed, and the updated tech make me keep it.
My plan, actually, is to trade the 570S for a 991.2 RS and have a Manual .2 GT3 and a PDK RS. Is that stupid or what?!

If I had you budget I would probably keep the manual .2 GT3, skip the RS and get a 488 with a novitec exhaust. The 488 will give you speed, sound and looks. The .2 GT3 will give you analog fun. The .2 RS will be too similar to the GT3. In reality any of those cars would be great.

Ford Focus RS as DD. Drive it anywhere. To the supermarket? Hell yeah. Shopping cart where you want to park? Just bumper push it out of the way. Makes teenagers freak out. Wash and polish it? Yearly at best. Want to do donuts? Drift Mode!
But I do take the 570S to work once in a while. GT4 usually has R comps mounted so only take it if it needs fuel.
My opinion is pair it with a 2017 new 570S coupe. There are a lot of them on dealers lots and they discount them heavily because they want them off their lot. If you are a GT3 person then prob a coupe person too. A 570S will pull on a 2018 GT3. 2018 GT3 RS and ACR Viper too. Your corners will vary.

Surprised no one else has mentioned anything older as such a pairing would seem to bring more contrast, versus just pairing it with another modern competitor.
Granted I've only owned my 991 GT3RS, 987 Boxster Spyder, and other older non-GT Porsches... so no true exotics. I'm sure some guys here can give personal experience with the following options to pair with a 991 GT3/RS:
-Older manual Ferrari (F355, 360, F430)
-Ford GT
-Aston V12 Vantage manual (2011, 2012, 2017)
-R8/Gallardo/Murcielago (gated manual)

Nice, I don't personally see the appeal of the X+ systems beyond serious half mile racing. I'm afraid it would warp my sense of speed forever and possibly ruin the sportscar hobby for me. I do check the used car listings at UGR's site fairly often, a bunch of X and X2 Gallardos on the block right now, no doubt from guys building Huracans. Do you have to park that thing for a few weeks before a 500hp car becomes exciting again?
