Most likely conclusion is N/A engine from 991.2 RS

seems like they used rear bumper from 992 carrera with intercooler outlet and blocked it off with tape since it doesnt need one.

It will be another hurdles and hoops to get this car and I am not sure if I want to go through that again.

I am shocked I am saying this because I have been an NA fanboy. After driving my GT2RS, I really have no issue with an all turbo line up. The sound of the GT2RS is intoxicating, it has basically zero turbo lag, and the sheer thrust of it has converted me... at least for now. I have not missed the NA engine at all (yet). If the GT2RS is the sign of where we are going next, sign me up.

It's not too bad. I made my money in UI/UX and that's a pretty nice clean and purposeful implementation - possibly even cleaner than the current analog dials, especially when you remove all the crap off the steering wheel which we wont have in the GT3s anyway.

Dream. Even though I'll take a bath on two 991.2 GT3s.
Yup. And outfitted with the newly announced Exclusive Manufactur two-tone leather interior. Bout $180k out the door and we’re good to go.

Also standard sport exhausts over the bunched duel.

I guess Porsche reasons a cabrio GT model is too risky in the way they used to say an automatic turbo was too risky, considering all the power.

I don't think the reason is risk, unless you mean it has the potential to upset Speedster owners. The 992 911 turbo S comes in convertible and has loads of power and torque. I could see a practicality argument for not mass producing cabrio GT cars. However, with the popularity of the touring I could see interest from folks who don't primarily track that wouldn't mind the benefits of a convertible. I could also see interest in optioning a touring with PDK.

There are people on here who have a deeper knowledge on these cars and what Porsche plans to do, it would be interesting if they also optioned SMFW on any GT manual car. Seems that is a popular option on the 911R and something manual enthusiasts desire.

Well the obvious answer would be the GT cars are race derivatives, and there are no convertible race series [that I know of]. It would probably be consisted a little too niche for Porsche to offer those cars with such an option, while things like touring packages can bend the rules a bit and not cause too much fuss.

The other answer/question would be why would you even need to? Sure, you might get more engine music to the ears, but lose rigidity and race characteristics.
