Default Muffler Delete Question

I have a rear muffler bypass on my 991.2 GT3 and run with the vacuum lines plugged to keep the side muffler valves open.

It sounds great but I was wondering how much louder it would be if side muffler deletes without valves were added?

In other words, is there a big difference in sound between running side mufflers with open valves and running without side mufflers?

I understand the added benefit of weight savings, but I'm more concerned with the noise level, drivability and potential for drone.

Thanks in advance, I would appreciate thoughts and opinions from anyone with first hand experience.

I'm also debating this, how much louder is the side delete w stock center than the center delete?

It's noticably louder than doing the center muffler delete, but it drops a lot of heat and weight. I'll be putting on a SS Dundon quiet center muffler so that'll quiet it down a bit.

Do this. You’ll be glad you did. It will be louder as has the potential to drone but either lift the throttle a touch or change gear - very simple. Sounds so much better than center muffler delete. Best case add valved side muffler delete - Dundon, FVD, Akra, etc, etc for no drone.

Unplug the valves and drive the car, if you're ok with it then you have two options to delete the side mufflers:

1) Single L-pipes, so no valve use, it will be as loud as your stock car with the valves disconnected (the three mufflers are bypassed when valves are open, at 50ft the stock GT3s read 100.x db beyond 7500rpm)

2) the side delete pipes that use valve control (they connect at the upper and lower portion of the center muffler). I had the FabSpeed ones and I like them a lot, but sold the FabSpeed headers, and the valve control pipes needed to go with the headers, as the FabSpeed headers do not have holes for the O2 sensors.

From the above options, #1 for lighter weight, #2 for a little quieter cruising (it is quieter cruising than the stock system with 3 mufflers and valves disconnected)

Thanks for the responses... let me clarify further. I have already purchased and installed an Akrapovic center muffler bypass which I am very happy with and will be keeping on the car.
I'm just asking if anyone knows from experience how much loader removing the side mufflers would make the car vs. retaining the side mufflers with the valves kept open. Thanks!

If you already have a center bypass, deleting the side mufflers will give you a straight exhaust. It will be really loud, think cup car. The side mufflers with the valves turned on does not equal the muffler delete.

What about the awe switchpath exhaust? It's a side and Centre delete with valves.

Valves Fabspeed side muffler delete here with a steel center muffler.
might be louder then center muffler delete but it isn’t loud. Even open I can be on Bluetooth calls if I manage RPM’s.

Side delete isn't necessarily louder vis-a-vis a center bypass. It just has a deeper growl, a bit more bass, if you will.

I got the quiet Dundon SS center muffler which I'll add to the side muffler delete so I don't **** off my neighbors and get nasty HOA letters about the noise. haha

Thats what I installed on mine. Its loud, but not unbearably so. I think it sounds great, cup-car like. No drone as far as I can tell so far. My goal was less heat and less weight - the great sound was a bonus.
