Default 911R Stripes and Side Decals - Help Please

Hi Guys,

I ordered decals from a company called SN Styling.

It arrived in the mail but my PPF installer has stated they are not to the correct length or made to the contour of the car which they should be. Essentially they are not like OEM spec (too long and not to the curvature of the car).

Can someone confirm if good quality decals/OEM are:
1) made to the the exact length of the car
2) made to the curvature of the car

They are saying they don’t advise taking a blade to the decals while on the car and they won’t look OEM. The PPF place I am using are the most reputable in the country.

Advice appreciated as I am considering reordering from another company.

Not to the curvature of car and needs cutting to correct length.

Too long

Too long and not curvature of bonnet

Look at any R and you will see they are cut to the right length and finish before the end of the bonnet/boot and are not straight stripes as they go from front to back

Thank you for the help. Can I please clarify:
1) Do you mean cut to the right length while being fitted on the car or at time of manufacturing the decals?

2) Do the pics demonstrate that the decals are too straight? The shop that supplied them has stated they come in different section to allow for the curvature and one end of each piece should be trimmed to the exact desired length.

Thank you

1. Believe they are manufactured to the right length
2. Not sure what you mean, I think the pieces are designed for each section

I bought my side stripes from renndecals and I had to cut them to length myself. Also, the decals were flat and not contoured. Haven't ordered center stripes so can't speak about those.

And I'm happy with 95% OEM look for 5% the price

Thanks for the input.

I am wondering if the detailing/PPF shop are just over dramatising the cutting on the car part or if this is highly unusual. I have no experience so hard to tell.

hopefully some people with aftermarket top stripes can comment

I installed myself so I would never cut on the car. And if the shop isn't comfortable doing it, I wouldn't push them. But if they are the best installer in the country, they should know exactly how to install these since many of us do it ourselves.

Look forward to seeing the final results!
