Reus Systems

I looked up their website based on your post. Interesting but, not much info. They do not have an email address, just phone #s.
It would be interesting to know what they have done with 911s.
For 991.2 C2S:
base = $0, 8 speakers
Bose = $1600, 12 speakers
Burmester = $5300, 12 speakers
Amplifier under the passenger seat for Bose & Burmester. Also, I think the SubWoofer has a 2nd amp.
Base system has no sub & no 2nd amp, just uses PCM amp.
So, it would be interesting to see if this company can take a 991.2, with the base system & add an amp that fits under the passenger seat, swap out all 8 speakers with much better ones and blow away the Burmester for significantly less than $5300.
No taking up space in the frunk or behind the rear seats for additional equipment.
Certainly no interference with the other functions of the PCM!
All controlled from the OEM PCM &/or the base system buttons & *****.
Seamless.

Just found this:
"Reus doesn't discourage new car buyers from checking the "premium sound" box on the options sheet. Since Reus uses much of a car's factory-installed pieces, "premium" makes a better starting point."
https://www.edmunds.com/car-technolo...o-upgrade.html
That seems wrong to me. Unless the premium sound system for your new car is bad! That certainly is not the case with Burmester. It is just too expensive.

Spending thousands on a car audio system is certainly not a bargain. Especially on a relatively noisy car like the 911.
There are some people who believe the more money something costs, the better it is.
I am not among them,
If you were able to listen to a Reus system in a 911 & then immediately listen to a Burmester system in another 911, then you would know. (At least between those 2 systems based on your personal preference)
Of course, you would need to bring your own (hopefully lossless) music for the test. Easy enough to do with CDs.
I don't know if you could arrange that. Who has 911s with Reus Audio available for Demo? You would need to call them. If they have one for you to listen to, I doubt they would also have another 911, with a competing system; Burmester or a custom system with JL or Focal speakers. If you think you can listen to system A on Monday & then on Tuesday listen to system B & make an accurate judgement...you are probably wrong.
I suppose reading anecdotal reviews by people saying this or that system is great... is better than nothing but, that is not how I'd make a final decision.
Even listening to an audio system in a different car is not a good way to tell. System X may sound wonderful in a Mercedes & not so good in a Porsche.
It is not easy like comparing audio components for the home. You can do A/B comparisons with different speakers & Receivers for example.
