Default Tire pressures on .2GT3 / Observations

Is it typical in 55 degree weather after 30 min of street driving to be at 35/38. I think at cold i am 30/33. i typically over inflate for the winter but should I leave it alone or take a few PSI out of both fronts and rears.

Also - 850 miles on her right now and she does not consume a lick of oil nor any smoke on any start up to date. Not typical from my previous Porsches I've owned. My ,1 smoked like a chimney at start up and my GT4 consumed a fair amount of oil and even more than my .1 by far

Those pressure seems slightly high and I'm assuming you don't have enough miles to really see unusual wear.

I've got 2500 miles on my .2GT3 (including 300 miles at the track) and my oil level moved from the high end of the range to the middle. So very little consumption.

Thanks

Going to take a 2-3 psi out of each tire this AM

I believe the cold pressures are 29F 33R, so air out only for the front. And I do typically get a +5 or so with the tires warmed by street driving. I'm at 2,000 miles, the break in milestone, and same observation with oil consumption and smoke: none at all.

So nice to hear no smoking on the 991.2

My 991.1 could be used as a Bond getaway car due to the excessive smoking
(btw it had a by the book break-in to 1900 miles)

When stationary you can check tire fill info. As simple as that.

Manual says 29/33 cold when measured in 66 degree temperature not when hot

Yes, set at 29 front and 33 rear cold and don’t worry about it around town. At track, try to keep at 30-32 HOT on Michelin’s which means I’m starting around 24 cold and adjusting from there. I get the low pressure warning, but I just ignore. Above that, it gets greasy for me.

My rear end slides all over at 36 hot on the track. It’s a noticeable grip difference from 32 hot to 36 hot, at least in my car.
