Thanks both! Well - that is a veeeery careful approach. Between my P-car driving pattern, delivery in late June and short Swedish season, it will be May 2019 before I am done breaking in the car. If I would follow that procedure.

I interpret “break in period” differently. Drive that GT car like you stole it! Life is too short!

I enjoy my cars the most the first couple thousand miles. WTF

Yea, a bunch of middle aged euro guys with receding hairlines.

If Porsche kitted the Touring or R model with the RS/Turbo widebody (sans wing of course), then that'd be interesting. I'm looking forward to seeing one of these on public roads in motion. Congrats and enjoy!

Owner of my dealer who is also an instructor and had several GT3s etc said get the car up to 90 degrees, stay below 5000 rpms for the first 500 km and keep it exclusively in (PDK) sport during this time. Then let it loose. He had done this on all his cars and felt he got the best performance out of them.
