So the speedster won’t have any. How’s that work?

911R, GT3 T, and Speedster also have fans.

Here’s a Touring:

On really hot days the fans will run for some time after shutting off the engine.

In the manual it says on the 991.1RS that a sudden stop while the engine is very hot, in a hot climate, like a red flag at Sebring in august for example, can result in fire.

These fans help prevent that.
Still a nice slow cool down is best.

My rear bumper still looks a little melty anyway..

Yes. Sorry. Don’t know what’s wrong with my typing today. I meant it doesn’t have the intake grill in the back like the R, Touring or even the scoops like the wing GT3. Looks like it’ll be completely enclosed in the speedster. Will be fans be just as effective in the speedster?

Think of them as seeding a groupie or an Instagram following.. Porsche gives you two fans for free, the rest you have to cultivate outside of cars and coffee or Starbucks. Helps if your gt3 has a cool pts color or stickers. Fans love stickers

Yes...it was 97 today in Scottsdale AZ (already...ugh ) and I ran a few errands and the fans kicked on after a few minutes in the garage...normal.

But interestingly I noticed they kept kicking on for a few minutes and then back off...did it three times while I was outside talking to my neighbor.

I am assuming that is normal but why on/off? Is it monitoring the battery draw from the fans or something???
