Wow, you did great! And on a new 2019, too! Not many 2019s out there. I'm not from the area and had never spoken with them before, let alone purchased a Macan Turbo from them, so the ADM was 30K for me. I really wanted buckets, so the discussion didn't last long between those two factors, but I did think it was a cool and very California spec. Congrats again and enjoy! Look forward to the pics.

Thanks for posting this, just ordered the sound deadening materials you suggested. These DIY’s make RL great.

You're welcome! BTW do order a roller to help press the butyl mat onto the car, poor contact will hurt sound and vibration vibration.

Thanks, I did. Also got the Noico sealing tape for the seams, as long as I’m in there.

I haven't tried but some brave soul need to do both the center and side muffler delete or maybe even race headers, then put on all these insulation tricks so the sound/drone becomes tolerable inside but sound wicked on the outside.

Finally had a free day and got after adding the sound deadening insulation. Thanks for the inspiration bli8! Result: extremely happy with how the car sounds inside now. This mod seems to remove most of the “white noise”, higher frequency raspy sound, but leaves the rest of the lower frequency mechanical sound intact. I wimped out on some of the trim piece removal as I didn’t want to break any clips. For example the trim at the bottom of the rear window wouldn’t budge, but I could lift the carpet up off of the rear deck enough to slide the Noico underneath by leaving the non-stick backing on. And the little plastic cup on the transmission tunnel was not giving it up either so I couldn’t get coverage all the way to the top of the hump. The rest was pretty easy. I was surprised by the gaping holes on the vertical surfaces just above where the rear floormats would be. (In other words, if it had rear seats, where your calves would rest). I couldn’t see what was in there, but they must act like echo chambers to channel noise into the passenger compartment. I’m willing to bet that covering those alone would make a significant difference.

Bottom line, a great, worthwhile, inexpensive modification!

^^^So strange, I find my Touring very quite. Too quite almost. Can easily have conversation with passenger or via tele cruising at 80 MPH. No drone at any speed. Weird.

Guys, as much as we appreciate the valuable contribution of the sound deafening projects, I think that deserves a thread of its own.

This one should live and go on for, albeit not necessarily new delivery miles cars of which there are no more, ads for low mileage Touring cars.

What do you guys think of this great spec below... too high still on the ADM?

cheers!

Great spec all around good pick up for someone. Great dealership. Not bad for a GT3T

I have not yet ascertained the color, I think Brewster, maybe black olive, but Porsche Greenwich has a PTS touring for sale. No idea of price and no affiliation, just passing it on because that’s what I do.

It anyone gets the color or price, please post here for records.
