So, is the 991.2 the last NA GT3?

It's rare to have such early insight, maybe the NA GT3's time has passed.

But what the heck, let's remember the words made famous made here on Rennlist and forever immortalized by the notorious FXZ...

"The next gt3 will be Turbo!.... CONFIRMED!"

(So again that is NOT me confirming it, it's someone else.. just in case... ya know, this is incorrect)

not likely, probably just a turbo with different exhaust pipes tuned for Euro noise vs USA noise regulations...cars this far out (24 months) are getting run ragged by porsche to ensure everything works. they are still experimenting with camo, as seen on the funky bolt on fender extensions. not likely for a "standard" GT3 to deviate from the fixed wing/ram air deal. this is just a spare 991 turbo tub frankensteined with 992 rear lights and geometry (suspension) doing some cold weather testing.

I’m thinking that might be a 992 Turbo S mule...

If you look in the background of the picture, you see their “keen eyes” also missed that teal Mission E Sport Tourismo.

I think it might be a Turbo S mule as well. For the most part it seems like they think it’s a GT3 because of the centerlock wheels which the Turbo S had.

That does not look like a GT car, irrespective of the power plant.

Listen to the man; I've never met a more credulous group of people than the (apparently) successful members of this forum who believe every breathless word of speculation from a putative "journalist."

+1 ... those look very reminiscent of the GT2RS exhausts, no?

Pretty shaky case they have presented there.

I still believe the 992 GT3 will be turbo, as Georg Kacher has called it (and provided some details). I'm not really convinced that these photos show a GT3 however, would need something a bit more compelling than they have provided.

This.

991 with the new guts. They would not let the cat out of the bag this soon.
