991 gt3 rs hard crash on Nurburgring onboard

That was pretty moronic of the guy to stop there. Well intended but caused most of the mayhem and could have been killed himself.
TF is actually a great phenomenon in this day and age of health and safety. I was there last weekend and just rolled up with my 8 year old son in the passenger seat and went out without helmets. We took it easy and after 6 years VLN and same number of 24h races I know the track a little. But that being said, there's no way I would go flat out on a TF these days. It's not a matter of if but when.

Unfortunately, if you put inexperienced people on track, with little knowledge of emergency procedures thats exactly what happens.
Mika as you rightly point out in those conditions "its a matter of, if, not when".
Seb ask yourself this simple question "why was I trying to chase down the Performante during a TF?" and what did this do for your overall situational awareness. What do you think the guy in the Performante was thinking?
I'm not trying to have a go, but perhaps step back and look at the incident in the round

SEB74: my only criticism of you is trying to chase down a Lambo at a TF. Aside from damage others could have been hurt. RS and Lamborghinis going at it don’t mix well with suvs out for a tf Sunday drive.

You are right my speed was a bit too much for TF, i understood the lesson ;-)

I do agree that all of us TF guys should look in the mirror sometimes, but it is extremely hard to resist following a good fast driver during TF.
Probably nothing would've happened here if not the fluid spill and the ones to blame in my opinion should be the Marshalls and the unexperienced guys stopping before the crash and running trackside not behind the barrier.
