No, for some reason they figured out the No-Lift upshifts (on the street), but didn’t discover the Launch Control function...

What a great review! WARNING... don't watch it if you're a PDK fan!

Manual FTW!

Interesting, that in their testing the Manual, they also confirmed the slight difference in gearing, 77mph in 2nd vs. 80 mph in 2nd for the Manual (again, supporting Grants prior diagram.

Had the 'Manual' car been a PCCB car with Buckets... Would the .2 on the track have gone the other direction? That has to be at least 50lbs less the Manual would have weighed.

Great review none the less.... GT3 is clearly great, whether PDK or Manual, and their input on this Engine being the in a whole nother league from the 'mezger' is quite the testament.

Best Regards,
Dave

GT3 just a second off the 918 - less weight sure but nearly 400 bhp less.....seems hard to believe.

Just watched it. Awesome review and their humor is right up my alley (dumping trash in the pdk car). The six speed is impressive on the track keeping up with the pdk. I like my PDK but I would def get a six speed as porsche six speed is like no other.

I like to think this was because I posted it as a comment on Johnny Lieberman’s Instagram when he first posted about testing the Manual GT3 over a month ago. I even referenced the page number in the owners manual.

Well, in my head it works that way.

Dave, valid point in the manual probably closing the 0.2 second gap with the PDK a little if equipped similarly (PCCB, Buckets).

Was looking forward to this video since Johnny started posting about it.

Seems on par with other major reviews GTR great contender but GT3 still tops. Slightly disappointing as a potential GTR buyer if GT3 doesn't come through.

Interesting commentary on the limited slip and manual having the advantage there that you can feel on street. I was dead set on PDK but their manual chatter has me thinking!

What was the line "PDK only if you're paid to race"

I guess this video does not help in convincing dealers to sell the remaining allocations at MSRP, LOL!

it is a GREAT car!

Great reviews, results on track are simply amazing. I think Porsche is sandbagging with the 500HP rating...that motor drives closer to 525HP!

Equivalent to "PDK is good for lap time, manual is perfect for everything else."
