It is totally different cars and purpose for me. 997 is much more of an experience on the road compared to the 991, its more raw with a hardcore feel and your doing more work as the 991 is so capable that isn't giving you the excitement at slower speeds. The 997 is the last car that shared parts with the air cooled 964/993 and are made significantly less numbers of them. But if you want to go really fast and tracking a lot, 991 no doubt.

Beautiful, on my office screen the color is obvious. I like it better then SS black.

997 vs 991, i like 991
some say 997 steering is better, i am not sure it's better. it juswt vibarates more.
vibration is not necessary "feedback"
Don't like convertibles so maybe an SLC.
On the road and at 8/10th steering is fine in 991 and I assume now with the .2 refinement it will be even better.
At 10/10th you don't feel the fronts grip up as well and direct when the rear rotates at with the 997RS.

991.1 GT3RS is a speed machine, it just want to go fast, it is just amazing how it feeds on speed.
997.1 GT3 is smaller, simpler, put in the ignition key and just drive. Nervous front end=interesting :-) and scary when moving from 991 to 997.
You say smaller, simpler, nervous. I say 964 clunky LOL.

Exactly, if I lived near nice driving roads, I wouldn't that the 991RS. But I wouldn't take the 997RS either, I would take a 964RS over all of them.
At the track the 964RS drives exactly like a 997 4.0 at 6/10th

If I could only have one car it would be the 991rs because it’s so versatile

I’m lucky to have many cars

if I had to choose only one RS while owning many cars it would hands down be the 997 RS 4.0. Car is insane but not a DD realistically
