I just like the flat magnesium color being shown on the .2 GT3 RS. Could this be painted or powder coated?

i got mine painted, advisable to get the wheels return to metal before painting.

I have a '24 Targa GTS arriving in December. I plan to ditch the black Turbo S wheels and paint them weiss gold. I picked up a sample today from a local auto paint supplier to spray it out to see what it looks like. Car is Aventurine Green.

PICTURED IS THE 991.2 CARRERA S 20" WHEEL IN PRISMATIC SATIN POLY GOLD. The "Aurum" OEM caps pass the 10' test, but not the 1' + flashlight test.

reviving an old thread!

Couples of questions, as I want to go with the white gold from the WP 2RS on my wheels.

1. Color code is Porsche 539--White Gold Metallic, correct?
2. Does anyone have shops in Arizona they would recommend for this process?
3. Paint or powder coat, have seen some do both on this thread. I thought painting doesn't hold up/
4. Finish to be like the 2RS white gold--is it satin or glossy finish. Just want to confirm. Thanks!

Ok I used this thread as a resource so I’ll add mine. Porsche paint code 539, with a clear satin finish (painted not powder coated). I bought unpainted caps with separate decals (rennlist vendor), and the paint shop did a great job of it. It is so nice to have the caps as well. I’ll mount them in a few weeks when the temps rise, the set on the car is the winter set and these wheels used to be black.

@Jimmy_D did you ever do the titanium gold from prismatic? I’m also considering this color

The 2RS white gold is very similar to BBS’ satin gold weiss and HRE’s satin white gold (…as seen on my HRE’s below):

The gold version of these BBS wheels are available from Manthey in the GT3 specs. I just ordered a set from Baan Velgen. They are not magnesium RS wheels but are more than 1/2 off the magnesium (which I understand from Suncoast that the standard magnesium RS wheels will not fit on 991 GT3).

The 20/21 Magnesium RS actually can be fitted on a GT3...and we do have Satin Platinum and Gold ready to go. We also have the BBS Motorsport Manthey Racing Forged Aluminum RE-MTSP 20/20 .

Some pics of 20/21 Magnesium on GT3 Touring

Suncoast said that there was an issue, as I recall, with the rear wheels and the offset and Porsche did not recommend fitting them. I’m happy that I ran into this obstacle as the forged wheels I bought were the less than 1/2 the price and I ordered them with tires mounted along with the Manthey titanium roll cage.

20/20 is the proper fit and the savings are quite substantial to the wallet when you go with the forged aluminum

Re 20/21 .. can be fit but Suncoast is not thinking out of the box. You cannot put the RS tire sizes on the GT3 but w a change in tire size it can be fitted. Nevertheless it is not a typical set up.

Glad you got it all sorted. If you ever need anything Manthey please don’t hesitate to reach out
