991 GT2RS vs 488 Pista

I'd much rather have a .2GT3 RS for a track car, and a .2GT3 Touring as a daily driver for less.
The GT2RS and the Pista are both amazing cars and feats of engineering. But for this kind of money and the connections required just to get one (or ADM) I would have to be stupid rich to ever consider one.
But if I was forced to choose I would take the GT2RS. Ferrari's just don't do it for me.

It’s really quite simple, if you are on the list for one of these, you get that one. If you are on the list for both, you get both. Virtually not a single person on earth will make the choice based on which one is “better.”
And for that one guy with the perfect storm of credit cards, home equity and unbridled passion, Darwin will take care of him...

I need to find a new Ferrari dealer...despite buying 2 ferraris from them it's like I don't exist...any time I ask for a car they say I need to buy 3 others first. It's exhausting. I'd buy a Pista tomorrow. This is why I buy Porsches.

Yeah, and you walk in Porsche dealer and there are GT2s 3s and RSs waiting for everyone ;-) Just choose the colour.

lol...the irony isn't lost on me...however I've found Porsche plays waaaaaaaaaaaay less games...if you show that you are a buyer, that will close the deal and are a Porsche enthusiast they treat you with respect....I've found Ferrari to be infuriating.

Yeah, 2 ways to play Ferrari's game. Buy new ff/gt4lusso and new California and loose 100k and maybe get allocations for cars like speciale/pista or just pay 100k over. I've bought 2 used and 2 new ferrari's from same dealership and still can't get pista without paying over. Porsche plays the game too unless you have a good relationship with a dealer.

Ferrari doesn't care about the 488 turbo - their points to play on an unlimited car is more about the dealership vs factory.
FF 16M 458S all purchased used - luckily being in no dealership zone but in no rush for a turbo as my deposit sits.

No offense but 2 Ferrari's is laughable to a dealer....

That's not true - know of guys who only purchased a 488 and got the call on 488P.
Some dealers have room some don't - Ferrari has programs to get new people in too. I am in an open territory which means access to every F dealer.
Two dealers 300 miles away "free" pick up and delivery on F cars outside warranty.
Bottom line there will be volumes of lightly used 488's at 50+ off msrp - they may not charge ADM but there is a buy in that is far greater than the RS.

Dare I say the Pista is one of the most beautiful modern Ferrari designs. The F355 was my previous most beautiful modern Ferrari design (imho of course). The aspects of the 488 GTB design that bugged me have been smoothed out and flat out knocked out of the park. Love the GT2 RS aggressive good looks and it remains to be seen if the Pista will hang with it on a roadcourse (I imagine it will). But in regards looks, its no contest to my eyes. Not a line on it I don't like. Well done Ferrari. Well done.

The older Ferrari's have gotten hammered lately - times change markets change.
Recall when the 16M was being produced orders were cancelled factory shuttered there is a lot of competition out there and Ferrari learned that they need new blood to survive and grow. The ole boys club aren't buying a 488P and then there are people like me are buying Porsche Lamborghini for good reason.
