I agree, not much value in the option except to get access to the Mg wheels, which are priced well as a stand alone option in my opinion. But WP is unique to this itteration of the RS and if you have a .1RS already makes for a different car, and gets it close to the 2RS on the outside.
Agree - keeping fingers crossed for allocation.
My RS has 18 way steels Voo Doo Blue it's the car that makes someone smile vs sinister spec W package that's offensive add aggressive exhaust and cage.

I'm not sure of the kind of glass used for the US versions, but the a new lighweight rear window was introduced for the GT2 RS, then used for the Carrera T and this GT3 RS now.
From the UK configurator, about the CS package:
Bolt-in roll cage in black at rear (in high-strength steel) including reinforcements with connection to bodyshell and preparation for battery disconnect switch.
Supplied ready to install: six-point seat belt for driver's seat in black and lightweight Motorsport hand-held fire extinguisher with bracket in aluminium.
Note: front roll cage add-on with FIA homologation for race track use available from the Porsche Motorsport department. Option only available in conjunction with (standard) full bucket seats or sports bucket seats (order no. P03)
The battery disconnect switch needs to be ordered from Porsche Motorsport.

I’m really torn on WP. I promised myself after my last RS build that I wouldn’t go crazy with options on next build. My current RS has turned into a track driven only car, so all the extra frilly things not needed. So here’s what I got:
Lizard Green paint/interior; black wheels, extended tank, alcantara visors = $197k
add WP = $215k
that $18k is like 9 sets of tires! Exposed CF is awesome and all, but from behind the steering wheel won’t notice. As I said, struggling.

Yup.

The Weissach Package will, says Preuninger, be offered as a two-stage option, early cars unable to have the magnesium wheels - which save around 12kg - due to production delays.

The Weissach pack without Ti roll cage has no cage at all. You must add the CS pack to have a rear steel roll cage, that you can have in black (standard) or green.
