Sport Auto Video - (991.2 GT3 Content) C7 Z06 vs World
All,
Germany's Sport Auto magazine brought a lot of supercars to test their best handling cars. The Z06 was brought along as well.
Interestingly - the C7 Z06 is the only Manual car there and also the cheapest.
C7 Z06/Z07 - Manual - RWD - Price: 79,495 (Base) Price as tested: $96,000 (Possibiliy of getting at least 12% off MSRP very high)
Other Cars -
AMG GTR - DCT - RWD - Price: $160,000 (Base) - *Rear Wheel Steering
911 GT3 - PDK - RWD - Price: $143,600 (Base) - *Rear Wheel Steering
ACURA NSX -DCT - AWD - Price: $160,000 (Base)
AUDI R8 V10 - DCT - AWD - Price: $164,000 (Base)
Mclaren 720S - DCT - RWD - Price: $300,000 (Base)
Performance - DCT - AWD - Price: North of $300,000 (Figures vary)
See the videos below for how the tests pan out
The first video has English subtitles, make sure to put your captions on as the narrative is in German.
Second video is AMG GTR vs Z06 (Wait till the end of the video to see their test lap times)
Enjoy!

In general though I'm surprised they used this short track for their tests- a larger circuit would help differentiate the cars more clearly and of course testing on a day the temps weren't near freezing!

Ah interesting. Haven't had the opportunity to see the vid yet, but anxious to find out what they don't like about the gt3 !

The Performante and AMG GTR are great cars. The GT3 needs 50 ft/lb more torque. I have zero interest in Corvettes. The fit and finish on them is terrible. I do admire how they put all their money in R&D and performance

The c7z06 is a blast. I had a c6zr1 and did not like it on track at all. The c7z is fun, exciting and very responsive. Thought it was more entertaining than the 991. Just diff approaches

Interesting and thanks for sharing. 720S on MPSC2 and it would crush all of them. Z07 punches way above price tag but my buddies car can only handle 2 laps before overheating not sure the new model is better.
