PCCB rotor stuck to hub
Hi Folks,
I can use some help here. First time "mechanic" here, and I'm trying to remove one of my rear PCCB rotors from the wheel hub so that I can measure it. I removed the wheel, brake caliper without problem, but for some reason the rotor will not come off the hub. It wiggles a bit, but it appears to be stuck at one of the bolts. Not sure how much force I can use either. Any suggestions are greatly appreciated.

You can see the blue drum parking brake in this photo.
The parking brake may make a difference on the rears. Take the brake off and see what happens.

When you measure the density of the disc make sure they are on a solid piece of wood to get the most accurate reading. There are three reading points on each carbon disc.

Thanks! Once I get home I will give this a shot! Quick question here, if I disengage the parking brake I need to depress the brake pedal. Should I first mount the caliper back on the rotor? I'm concerned I won't be able to open the calipers in the future if they fully close.

Yep, thats the plan. If I can get the rotor off, I'll be measuring them on Monday. I'll post the results in the other PCCB thread.

I tried that once (rubber mallet) - didn’t work
I tried for a long time before remembering to release the parking brake on an old 911...
Those little parking brake shoes have quite a grip (especially if there’s been a groove worn in the rotor hat over time...)

It was indeed the parking brake. After disengaging it, the rotor came off effortlessly. Thanks for all the help!
