Wait for the 718 GT4 or used 999.1 GT3?

I heard not enough space to put H-6 with turbo from .2 C2S

Yeah, we'll see. Maybe so, maybe not.
But imagine of a 718 GT4 w/ the 3.0TT from say the current 991.2 GTS (420+hp but <450hp).... it will still be a blast!
Less weight and midengine placement... will punch above its class.

I see the opposite. They are currently testing demand with the GT2RS and they have already learned- "if you build it; they will come". I see the opposite. I see them trickling down. The 992 GT3/RS will go FI and the GT4 will stay NA for a few more iterations since they can milk the heck out of the 4.0 since we know they can push 520 ponies out of it.

4Ltre GT4 would be sublime even at the extra cost.

if they are rushing to finish all of the GT3 and GT3RS production in 2018 supposedly because of emission regulation, how will they justify building an NA GT4 in 2019?? and if they are able to build an NA GT4 in 2019, why can they not build a NA GT3 as well?

Maybe the additional required emissions equipment is so restrictive it chokes the hp down to 420 from the current 500 and just lends itself to this scenario in a disturbingly perfect way?

A detuned 4.0l that complies with 2020 Euro emissions rules should be very doable.

+1 Why would they spread out the exhaust pipes if this was not a turbo prototype? I'm betting 4-Cyl - TT.

Good point. I just thought it odd that they take the center tail pipes of the current GT4 and spread them out. If they were keeping it NA, wouldn't they stay centered? Not much room to work in there, so maybe they had to move them, NA or not.

It's very likely for a more aggressive diffuser for better aero, racing purposes. By running the exhausts parallel instead of perpendicular, it should allow for a bigger diffuser to be utilized. That's my guess, regardless of what engine is used.

Have owned a 991.1 GT3, 981 GT4, and 981 Spyder.
Of those, GT3 vastly superior IMO to GT4, despite my preference for a manual gearbox. I sold the GT4 and kept the GT3.
Got Spyder when I pre-traded the GT3 for a 991.2 GT3 Touring on order. Spyder is spectacular and much more fun than I remember GT4 despite similarities. Also a lot more beautiful and rare than GT4.
Sure, 718 GT4, if it gets detuned version of NA 4.0L from 991.2 GT3 will be a big improvement. But it’s unlikely to outperform a 991.1 GT3 in any objective way. So it would really come down to whether you prefer the manual transmission it will presumably have va PDK-S in the 991.1 GT3, and whether you prefer the smaller size and mid-engine feel of GT4 vs roomier 911 platform.
If I could only have one, tough call. I’d probably pick new GT4 if rumors are true about 4.0L NA engine in it, since like previous GT4, it’ll still probably be more of a smooth easy driver in daily driving than 991.1 GT3 ever was and also a little more fun even in daily driving thanks to manual. 991.1 GT3 with PDK still more of an animal on track or when really pushed in the twisties on great roads though.
If if you can have 2, get the 991.1 GT3 now and add a 981 or 718 Spyder. It’s a better compliment.
