Default GT2 RS vs Performante

A hot lap at Hockenheim. No spoillers but damn that Lamborghini sounds good.

The GT2 is mighty fast but can not hear the engine

The Performante sounds surreal

If it was the same driver, he was working a lot harder in the Lambo...so either a different driver or the RS is a bit easier to get the fast lap.

What's up with no gloves?? Pushing that hard and no gloves??

What's the word on that? Overpriced? Expected depreciation hit? Not as impressive in real life?

I'm just not really a Lambo guy. i do think they are over priced and every lambo guy I know I've discussed it with said expect it to take a big depreciation hit while we all somehow convinced ourselves that the RS won't...I mean sure the 997RS went up..but they only made 500 of them...they are going to make thousands of these. I think they only made 600 performante and can't sell them all.

I look forward to hearing nuvolari612 and his excuses now.

Once again, Lamborghini and its "magical" N-Ring lap times doesn't translate into real life performance. Oh I am so shocked, LOL

I love my Performonte. I have't driven my Porsches since I got her. Although once the GT2 gets delivered next year, I'm sure that will change.

awesome video! thanks
i would take lambo in heartbeat regardless of lap time. only reason to go porsche is if youre seriously claustrophobic and cant handle lambo interior. lambo might even be a future classic as last na exotic. pair that with viper acr as last stick shift record car. 2rs will just get an even faster version in 5 yrs. and im thinking vette zr1 might be even faster than 2rs.

I’m certainly no Lambo lover - never owned one and never even had the urge to. But, that Performante looks to be fantastic. Of course, the sound is great but it also looks like it handles like a stripped out mid engined exotic should. Nice styling, searing n/a engine. Seriously, who cares what the laptime is? Would you really take the Porsche? The ‘magical’ Nürburgring laptime does seem to translate if you ask me. Heavier weight, less power than either the 488 or 675 and much quicker than both. To cry foul because it loses out on a particular track to an RS with about 100 more horses and a few less kilos seems like stretching the point to me. Honour intact in my book.

How much of a discount can I get on a performante? Looks and sounds special. The GT2 RS not so much.

I was under the impression if you wanted a performante and had the cash you can just order one. I didn't not realize they only made 600
