PDK option for sure

Hopefully the base price will be at or near 100, which will mean a smartly equipped semi stripper will be less than most T’s.

Cayman GTS 4cyl 2.5l 365hp
Cayman GT4 6cyl 3.0l 420hp (guess)
Cayman GT4 "RS" (i guess will not happen - if it will - it will get the same or somehow similar engine as the GT4)
i guess we will see the GT4 in Geneva. Will be a 2015 revival - as long the .2GT3RS will not appear earlier.
another and for me the most relevant fact that this new GT4 will not be a 4.0l - is the Euro6c emission norm which is valid for each new registration from 01.Sept.2018.
I would be happy if Porsche manage the 4.0l with Euro6c - because than the .2GT3RS would be also longer be built for the EU market. not like now - where it is clearly sheduled from March till Aug.2018.
If the 4.0l would be able to pass Euro6c - Porsche should know it already. And why than they don´t produce more .2GT3RS for EU... So i guess they are not able to manage it in a proper way with no or minimum performance losses.
and now it comes: i think our GT4´s are the last N/A ones.

The outgoing GT4 wasn't a limited series production car and sales figures show that it actually out-sold the 2.7 in the last-generation Cayman. An extraordinary - and heartening - fact.

Three Wheelin'
I don't see a detuned 4.0 gt3 engine happening. Emotionally that will put it too close to the 911 GT3, and that also crosses the path of turning the future GT3 into a midengined car like the RSR.
I'd stick a 3.0 twinturbo carrera egine with 420 hp in the GT4. And a Carrera GTS engine with 450 hp in the GT4RS. It doesn't fit ? Make it fit !
Come'on Porsche, give us that GT4RS, strip it clean 1300 kg, clubsport pkg only, huge aero pkg, 450 turbohorsies, PDK, cast iron brakes, uprated suspenion, rotary dials to tune psm and tc intervention %, SOLD.

I was in my dealership this week prodding them about GT3's, the salesman says I'd have a much better chance of getting a GT4 which he's 100% convinced is going to be a 3.0 Turbo. I'm tempted to put my name down as if I ever want a new GT3 I have to start somewhere
While I was there I saw this 718, I think it's Rubystone Red, I should have asked but it was a flying visit

Just give me a 420hp+ NA 718 GT4 with flappy paddles and I'll be happy.

Not sure that I've driven the RSs at the limit (maybe 8/10th) but I definitely have gotten closer with the GT4. The GT4 is so much easier to catch than a GT3 and RS so it's less scary for me near the limit. I see how fast Clubsports are and having PDK with some more HP will make for a lethal track weapon that I can drive to and from the track.

A GT4 RS will be in an awkward place in Porsche’s GT product line up. Should it be cheaper or more expensive than GT3? Faster or slower than GT3? If it’s faster than GT3, Will it come too close to GT3 RS performance but much cheaper? I think that why Porsche won’t build it.
