Took delivery! Awesome! Very different Than 991.1 GT3 and the 991.1 RS. More details shortly...

Time for a wash!

Gave it a foam bath, a two bucket wash, and then started the process of paint correction.

Did the roof and bonnet. Roof was clean. Bonnet had two visible sanding marks. After a bit of polishing, they are less visible, but they are still there. Unless pointed out, you'd never notice, but being up close on those two panels for around 4 hours, you notice all the subtleties.

Removed the "PORSCHE" badge from the rear. Will replace it with matte black Oracal 951 GT3 until I do the full RSR wrap.

Looks like the rear scoops are removable via a few screws under the lid. Good news if you are going to XPEL. Still need to remove the front bumper cover to get a good wrap under the headlights.

Around another 8-12 hours to finish paint correction. HUGE different in overall glossy on the paint, even for a white car, and well worth it if I'm spending $$$ to cover the whole car.

Also, the car is faster and more responsive than the 991.1 GT3. It doesn't feel as nimble as the 991.1 RS. It feels smaller than the 991.1 RS. For the 15 miles driven home from the dealer, it felt very different than the 991.1 GT3.

You will be pleased.

Ordered front/rear Girodisc and Ferrodo DS.11 from Clark at Apex Performance. Should be here Monday but replacement will be done before first event and plan to install Tarrett caliper studs at the same time..

About finished with the paint prep. Removed intake scoops (see other thread) - have rear lid, rear bumper cover, and front bumper cover left.

Posted pics in other thread... removed scoops and just about done with paint prep. Xpel Monday eve.

Installed Bray single layer screen protector last night. Was cut well and installation was same as clearplex. In a matter of fact, it looks and feels like "clearplex".

Took the car in for full XPEL. Removed rear scoops, some of the rear bumper cover and the front bumper cover is off as well (needed to removed headlights). Took me about an hour to remove everything so it can be wrapped around some critical areas better.

I did not remove the mirrors, door handles or GPS roof wart.

And my Girodiscs have arrived (thanks to Clark at Apex Performance for taking care of me). Went with ferrodo ds.11 pads. We will see how they do.

So I started doing the inlays for the livery on the rear bumper. I quickly realized that this was going to be a long project, even to do the rear at first. I have neother the time required nor some of the skills to do the whole thing in a timely manner. I also know that i change my mind regularly on graphics/ no graphics. I can't see myself spending a few grand to put on a livery that I may remove in a month.

For now, I decided to go with something a little less complex and build on that. Still need to do the roof. Not sure American flag goes anymore.
