Default 991.1 GT3 misfire at low revs only...

Hi all, newbie to the forum.

I did tag this on the end of another post but realised it's probably better to start a new thread.

Anyway, I'm hoping if someone can help?

My 2014 991.1 GT3 which has had the engine replaced under warranty (in 2014) has a misfire between 1500-1800 rpm under load. The misfire can be driven around using the paddles but in auto the box drops it right into that range and it's very jerky and annoying. It only does this when the engine is warmed up.

Most of the scary issues I've read seem to be about misfires at the top end of the rev range. I've had the plugs and coils replaced, no real change. There are no fault codes either.

Any ideas?

Happy for somebody to point me to another post that covers it if there is one.

Many thanks in advance.

My 991.1 2016 misfired and was eventually traced to a intermittent Camshaft position sensor fault. After replacing it, misfiring stopped. Low and high revs, but only when hot. Good luck.

And interesting you say the PDK box Fred, I've always presumed it was an engine misfire.

Is this a common fault and is there a post on here about it all?

The first tech that drove mine said "its as its got a misfire". I know of one other, possibly two. PM me if you would like more details, especially as we are both in the UK.

Curious what the outcome was of your findings because I have similar symptoms.
